Short Background: Her background isn't very well known. All that is known is that she appeared in pallet town one day after reading a trainer call for a flying type trainer. at the begining of the story, she has been gym leader for about 2 weeks, and is undefeated.
Relationships: She Feels Ash is a very trust worthy young man for his age, and so she entrusts him with an important mission.
Additional info: (*Warning* Some spoilers) Celeste is a very mysterious person. only ash has any insite any deeper into her life than the other trainers who meet her. after their battle, Celeste gave him a golden feather, a scroll, and a moon shaped pendant. Then she sent him to find Kassiopeia (More info on her below). one thing about Celeste is very odd, and I will not post it here (sorry, but it will ruin the end!). Although Celeste plays a large roll in this fiction, she does not appear in every episode.
