Is Jesus A Fad?

An awareness has come to me, one that
I even questioned. It seems within the
last year I'm seeing God things and Jesus
things all over. In the stores, magazines,
houses, etc. Now maybe this is because I
have come to know God during this time, but
I don't think so. Not only was there the
wonder, there was also a bit of serenity that
came with it. A sense of "yeah, God is every-
where". Even the teenagers wear the name of Jesus.
T-shirts "I saw God on Fort Myers Beach", "WWJD",
etc. There are so many beautiful pictures, knick
knacks, etc that talk about God, Jesus, serenity,
etc. Angels, well they're all over! I hope this
means that more and more people are looking to and
turning toward God. That would be honest and so
forever. Whereas a fad is here today and gone
tomorrow. Since God is forever, shouldn't every-
one think of Him as forever? Yet there was still
this nagging question...

Is Jesus a fad? The WWJD has appeared everywhere.
One teen said that she wanted to get a WWJD
bracelet, then she would hopefully think to
do things as she thought Jesus would. That thinking
seemed so powerful, so yeah!!! Until...

I walked into a store at the shopping mall. Now
this store has just about everything in nice,
inexpensive jewelry, haircare things, etc. This
store carries the ying/yang (which is NOT christian),
necklaces that represent a marijuana leaf, etc.
One whole display was on WWJD. I was so in awe
to see something of Jesus in this store that has
so many things NOT of Jesus. Eagerly I hurried to
the display. I could almost feel the hair stand up
on the back of my neck the closer I got. For satan
had taken possession of this display. What a deception,
something that says I'm for Jesus, represented by satan.
It makes sense though if you think about it. Lucifer
wants people to appear to be looking to Jesus, because
they will become comfortable and complacent, so he can
do his dirty deeds.

The WWJD has picked up so many sayings. What would Jesus
do, why won't Jesus die, we want Jack Daniels, etc. So
something meant as good can be turned to evil. It was
very disturbing to come to this reality. Am I saying that
people should avoid the WWJD things? No. In a christian
store the WWJD rack felt so... Jesus. I would have had
no hesitation to purchase an item there. My advice...
avoid things and places not of God. God can use all
things to His advantage, yet we, His children need to
discern right from wrong. If you are wanting Jesus WWJD
go to a place of God/Jesus to get it. Let Him show you
the way.
