A campaign box is usually a gift presented to a commander upon leaving his command which becomes a piece of memorobilia, reminding him of the command. The box can be used to store medals, decorative brass, other uniform items or souviners from that command or campaign.
Our campaign boxes are 11" x 18" overall and are constructed from Honduran mohogany. The box has mitered joinery and the lid is attached with non-mortised hinges. The bottom of the box is cloth-covered hard wood and can be modified to whatever type of material you desire (i.e. camoflauge ~ silk). The finish is a silky, smooth, hand-rubbed oil, finished off with two coats of fine furniture wax. The outside of the lid then becomes a field for a laser engraving of the command's logo. The inside of the lid then becomes a field for the name and dedication for the commander.
