Candied Fruitcake



1/2 cup Butter
2 cups Sugar
6 Eggs
4 cups Flour, sifted
2 teaspoons Baking powder
1/2 cup Milk
1/2 cup Brandy
1/2 cup Candied pineapple
1 cup Golden raisins
1 cup Chopped almonds
2 cups Green maraschino cherries
2 cups Red maraschino cherries


Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Cream butter and sugar together. Add the eggs one at a time and beat well. Sift the flour and baking powder together; add slowly. Stir in the milk and brandy.

Fold in the remaining ingredients. Pour into a well-greased cake pan and bake for about 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
