Name: Brindle Gender: Male Faction: Maximal Function: Tracker Alternate Mode: Grey Irish Wolfhound Weapons: Shoulder-Mounted Hologram Gun, and an energon mace-bolo capable of launching 700 feet which can ensnare the target with near impenatrable energy bonds Appearance: Hound's new form is sleeker than his original body, with high 'cheek-bones'. He's now coloured green, black and tan, camouflage colours. In robot mode, he retains the back paws of his new Irish wolfhound alt mode with the pelt draped over his shoulders. His face is ever so slightly canine in appearance, with expressive optics identical in colour to his original ones. Personality: Brave, loyal, good-natured and friendly, Brindle is a lover of nature who can often be found gazing at images of the natural wonders he recorded during the war on Earth. Though he realised it was done to save his life, he still has doubts about his new form and has become somewhat of a loner, especially after hearing what happened to Mirage. History: The chains of events that led to Brindle's creation came about when Prowl and Hound went to Kaon to try and rescue a few of their friends who had been captured/kidnapped by the Predacons, but they proved to be only half-successful as they got Cliffjumper, Wheeljack and Grapple out, but not Jazz who was reformatted into Stealth. They freed Cliffjumper from his cell and Hound was sent to take him back home, as Prowl went to get the others. After their escape, during which it turned out Astra had followed them and helped Prowl keep the Predacons at bay, they left Kaon as fast as they could, only to run into Devastator, who ended up doing serious damage to them and probably would have either killed them, or captured them. During the fight, Hound was buried under a huge steel chunk Devastator ripped from the ground and thrown in their general direction while throwing Cliffjumper out of the way. Cliffjumper and Grapple helped rescue him while Prowl distracted Devastator. Just as the gestalt had injured Prowl and went to finish the job on the others, Sky Lynx and Omega Supreme showed up to rescue them, Omega Supreme and half of Sky Lynx took on Devastator while the other half of Sky Lynx allowed the Autobots inside for safety. Devastator knocked out Sky Lynx and stunned Omega Supreme momentarily, then as he was about to crush the other half of Sky Lynx, Omega Supreme shot him through the chest, causing the combiner to seperate and retreat. Then they took the Autobots home where they were either taken to the medical center or rushed to Cyber City where Prowl, they found, only needed a few repairs. However Hound was fighting for his life, and Prime decided to take him into the reformatting chamber since he was too far gone for conventional repairs. Taking the dying scout, Optimus and the others headed for the reformatting station, and Astra, who was part of that group, tried to keep Hound alive. Just as Hound's condition worsened, they got the machine operational, then loaded him into it and activated the equipment. Everything seemed to go well until the machine informed them that it required more energy to keep Hound's spark alive. Wheeljack quickly hooked his own energy supply to the machine, which allowed the reformatting process to be finished, saving Hound's life as it gave him a new one.... Abilities/Special Abilities: Brindle's shoulder-mounted hologram gun can project 3-dimensional grid images of terrain maps stored in his memory. He sometimes also can use it to cast simple illusions. His hologram generator isn't as powerful as it used to be, so his holograms aren't as big as he used to make them, but he still has that now limited ability. While in his robot mode, he uses his gun to sweep over the landscape like a radar and with the help of internal 3-dimensional simulation circuitry, stores the information as topographical maps. In robot mode, his gun becomes an infrared radiation collector, and he uses this in tracking. Weaknesses: Brindle's tracking ability can be countered by thermal interference. High frequency electromagnetic waves can distort or completely destroy his map-making while sophisticated manipulation of these waves can result in the recording of false images in his memory circuits.
