(South East Asia, 2040, Iceland Dispute, 2042, Panama Isthmus Rebellion, 2043) Appointed captain of a destroyer in the Atlantic during the British Civil War, 2047.  Sided with the rebels and helped them to overthrow the military dictatorship which had ruled the island since the 2028-9 atomic war.  When the fighting ended, the revoluntionary government recommended that he be promoted to Admiral of the Fleet. Surprised the public by announcing retirement from active service at only 30.  Carefully planned to cover for his appointment to the Universal Secret Service (USS). Became chief of British USS section, in command of London HQ after 2 years active field duty. Transformed disorganised and inefficient collection of agents into compact fighting machine.
