Experience:
Experience in DEShaw & Co, Hyderabad,
INDIA (offshore center outside New York) as a member technical. I was part of
the team that worked on a web site development project (it maintains a online
favorites folder and automatically adds that to the IE when the user logs in).
Projects:
·
Messenger: Developed server and client side interface,
implemented multi-client handling server process using TCP/IP Berkeley sockets.
Implemented all types of message transfers (in XML format) including commands,
requests and a file server that transfers files (base64) as asynchronous
message (using queues) system.
- Diagramming Collaborator: The goal of the
Diagramming Collaborator system is to support the development and display
and annotation of complex diagram structures by more than one person,
interacting concurrently, from several different locations. Developed only
architecture concept document focusing on feasibility of project.
- XML Parser COM Component: Built a COM
in-process (DLL) component that translates between an XML document string
and an internal parse tree representation.
- Recursive Descent XML Parser: Built a recursive
descent parser for XML. This project requires supports exchange of
structured data between an ASCII file containing an XML document and an
in-memory representation (threaded binary tree).
- Simulation of Hard Disk and File System: It’s a project that I
did in my undergrad involving a simulation of hard disk and file system of
UNIX System (V4.0). Basically demonstrates the low level representation of
FAT on UNIX and the tasks performed when a file or directory is created,
deleted or modified.
- CRC Cards Database: CRC
cards are tools used to quickly capture use cases for a system under
development. It involved generating an XML document representing the card
set, saving to a disk file and subsequently reading cards from the XML
text, retrieved from the database file.
- Vending Machine Controller: Designed a controller
for vending machine for sale of newspapers (final project of
Digital Machine Design Course).
- Link extractor: Involves writing a Perl
script that takes an HTML file as input and prints the page title (stuff
inside <title> ... </title>).
- Favorites folder manager: This is a project that I
did in DEShaw & Co in a team size of 4. My role was to develop a C++
DLL to add the favorites to the IE when the user logs in.
- Hostel Management: This is a project that I did in VB in Regional Engineering College,
Warangal, INDIA. My role was to develop applications routines to interact
with the SQL database that holds the database records.
- logic minimization algorithm: Used MSPF algorithm to minimize any loop-free network of logic
gates. Detection of non-convergent structures to minimize circuit is effectively
implemented. This is a C++ implementation as part of CAD: Logic Design
Course.
- Graphical Illusion System: This is a project I am doing for my Prof. Dr. John Cerella, SU
using VC++ and DirectX. Double buffering and vertical blanks usage render effective
use of screen refresh rate and hardware capabilities displaying a 10*10
bmp traversing.
Technical Papers:
- Congestion control in
ATM networks in REC, Warangal in a workshop on “Present Trends in
Networks”.
- Real time scheduling
algorithms in IIT, Kharagpur as part of their annual Technical Paper
Contest.
Accomplishments:
- Recipient of FULL
TUITION WAIVER as part of College merit Scholarship in my bachelors for
the year 1997-98.
- Recipient of NATIONAL
MERIT SCHOLARSHIP (1995-97) for academic excellence in College from the
State Government of Andhra Pradesh in INDIA.
- Ranked 2nd
in my B.Tech.
- Recipient of bronze
medal in the mathematics Olympiad – 1999.
- Scored the highest mark
in nation wide class-X examination in mathematics (INDIA).
- Part of the team that
designed web pages of our college and department (http://www.recw.nic.in) and was part of
the team that installed LAN in our campus in REC, Warangal.
- Presently tutoring
students in mathematics (calculus) in Syracuse University.
- Took classes for
freshman and sophomores of chemical engineering in C and UNIX.
- Presently doing a
project for Prof. Dr. John Cerella, SU related to DirectX and VC++.
Professional membership: IEEE student member.
