Adventures In Kyoto

Woody and I visited Kyoto from the 12th Aug - 15th Aug.
Let me tell you there is nothing like
visiting Kyoto in the middle of summer! It is
so hot, I had a towel to mop up the sweat and at on
stage I could peel it from my back! Plus
there was the time when my friend and I trekked for about an
hour in the middle of a day to find a Mos burger. But
let me say it was worth it!

Also Kyoto is the land of temples. Everywhere you look TEMPLE.
Also it is the land of Gaijin or in english foreigners.
Whats more funny is my friend and I who is japanese but speaks
fluent english, we would talk on the bus to various places and people
would just stare at us! Which got annoying but hey what can
you do really!

______________

Ginkakuji - translates into "Silver Pavilion". Not only is there the temple but
it's surrounded by beautiful Japanese gardens.

___________

Kinkakuji - Is one of Japan's best known sights called the Golden Temple. Once again this famous temple is surrounded by equally beautiful gardens.

_______

Kiyomizu-dera - this place is very popular with the Japanese tourist as below the main temple is this waterfall, and behind this mini waterfall thing is a building and it is believe that this water is sacred and there was a huge line up for it so I chose not to drink it, Its called Otawa-no-taki. It is believed that this water has therapeutic properties.
