Let us now look at the human and his charecteristics in order to compare humans to baboons. The Homo sapiens is a primate which has adapted to living on the fringe of forests savannahs. The human is bipedal, with a broad pelvis, locking knee joints, and an elongated heel bone. The brain of the human is approximately twice the size of other primate brains. The Human is usually a social creature, living around up to millions of its own kind.
While both baboons and humans are omnivorous, baboons tend to be more selective about what they eat. Second only to the human, the baboon is the most adept hunter on the ground. Baboons eat eggs, insects, reptiles, mollusks, crabs, small mammals, fruits, and young plants. Humans eat these things also, and much more besides (ice cream, pigeons, cows, Taco Bell, etc.) Although both humans and baboons are both primates, they are built very differently. The human has locking knee joints, a broad pelvis, and an elongated heel bone- all important for bipedalism. The baboon, on the other hand, walks on all fours. It has a hunched posture, and, unlike the human, a very long jaw. A few things which both humans and baboons (and all primates, for that matter) possess are a clavicle (collarbone), 5 fingers and toes on each hand and foot, stereoscopic vision (overlapping fields of view), and a domed cranium.
