 Sea Otters Life and relations!

     Sea Otters have been on this earth for over 30,000 years. The oldest and first sea

otter that was found was the cape clawless otter. There are 13 sea otters in this

world today. We have the Cape Clawless Otter, Sea Otter, Oriental small- clawed

otter, Congo Clawless Otter, North American River Otter, Mairine Otter, Neotropical

Otter, Eurasion Otter, Spotted-neck Otter, Indian Smooth-coated Otter, Southern

River Otter, Hairy-nosed Otter, Giant Otter. There are only 13 otters today but

earlier in the years there were 14,"the maxwell" otter. This otter is now known to be

extinct. Sea Otters never will or have lived in Antartica or Austalia.  Otters are the

only mammels known to have fur instead of blubber. Sea otters are cousins to

weasels, badgers, ferrets, and minks. Sea otters have tools, that they need in order

to survive. They use, rocks to pry open abolone shells, and they set on their backs

so they can enjoy and awesome appetite on top of water!
