Robots I Built
This is my first robot that is being made as a project for a class at my high
school. This robot follows the rules of the Trinity Home Robot Fire Fighting Contest,
and will be entered in contest next year.
In this robot I use an OOPic as the microcontoller (mcu). You can look
at the features of this mcu at www.oopic.com.
I also use a lazy susey turntable for my base. I connected two half circle
metal pieces together screwing them onto the turntable. I use pneumatics from
clippard to raise the robot off the ground to turn with a HS-55 servo from
HobbyTown USA. For wall detection I use 2 GP2D12 ir range detectors, and a
SRF04-2 ultrasonic sensor facing forwards, and ir to the sides.
