Explanation of the Plot

Warning: Spoilers!!!

OK, here we go. There's this guy who seems to be a computer hacker. He is searching for a man named Morpheus. By finding Morpheus he hopes to find the answer to a question: what is the Matrix. This man, Neo, believes that the answer to this question will some how make sense of his life. He meets him finally and Morpheus gives him a pill that will let him "stay in wonderland". Neo takes the pill and is taken into a room where he begins to see some weird things. Then the next thing he knows he is sitting in this "pod" in a bunch of pink goo with wires plugged into his body all over the place. He sits up and sees that he is not alone, there are thousands of these "pods" with people that seem to be asleep in them. Suddenly a machine comes up to him does some things and proceeds to "flush him". Eventually he winds up on Morpheus's ship, is introduced to his crew (Trinity, Tank, Cypher, etc.) and is told the story. Apparently the year is close to 2199. Humans created artificial  intelligence and then a huge war began. At the time the machines were reliant on solar power so we covered the sky with millions of black clouds. The machines found another source of energy: Human body heat. The machines began to grow human and keep them in these pods while living off of the heat. To keep us under control they put these plugs into us and plug us into a computer program they've created called the Matrix. It is the world we know now. But there are groups of people that have been unplugged that are trying to free the human race. So of course Neo at first doesn't believe it. Later Morpheus explains to Neo that when the Matrix was first created, there was a man born inside that could change anything about the Matrix he wanted. If he wanted a huge hole to appear in the middle of the ground, he could make it happen. Morpheus tells him that when he died the Oracle foresaw that he would be reborn and his second coming would mean the destruction of the Matrix. Morpheus tells him that he has spent his entire life looking for him and that he believes that search is over. For those of you that are incredibly stupid, that means that he thinks Neo is the man that could change anything in the Matrix or The One. Neo sleeps. Then he has several types of martial arts programmed into him. Then he learns about programs called agents. They look like humans but can move at super speeds and are super strong. They can appear anywhere there is a human body, because they take over that body, and that if one sees you it will try to kill you because it knows you have been unplugged. The major problem is that if you are hurt or killed in the Matrix you are hurt or killed in the real world. Then Neo is taken into the Matrix to see the Oracle, a tradition that every unplugged person goes through. After seeing her, Morpheus is captured by and Agent. He wants the access codes to Zion (the last real human city) mainframe. Neo and Trinity make it out. Then go back in to save Morpheus. They do it amazingly and in the end Neo dies. Then Trinity tells his corpse that the Oracle told her she would fall in love with the One, and that she loves him, so he must be the One. Neo gets up, the agents start firing but Neo stops the bullets! He then fights and agent and kicks his ass. Neo gets out and he and Trinity start playin' tonsil hockey.
