Hero Abilities Package - Energy Wizard

Perytonian Energy Wizard

Energy Wizard Occupational Package (Cost 130-10=120)

Conversion Notes: The Characteristics, Powers and Skills here represent the minimum found in a perytonian energy wizard, but they are often much higher. To save points I placed all their attack powers in a Multipower, and placed all their non-attack powers except levitation into an Elemental Control. This write-up uses Champions 5th edition rules. (*)=This power draws on the Endurance Reserve for END.

The energy wizards originate from the planet Peryton. Perytonians are a race of humanoids from a post-apocalyptic planet. They once possessed high technology, but they have fallen back into a mixture of science and sorcery. The perytonians themselves suffer from minor mutations as a side effect of their wars. They have a variety of mutations, including odd colored skin, unusual eyes, horns, clawed hands, and oddly shaped heads. The basic perytonian appears to be mostly human, except having a slightly elongated head and being hairless.

Perytonians have developed the ability to manipulate energy fields. Those who have dedicated themselves to the mastery of this manipulation are know as warrior wizards, or energy wizards. The vast majority of perytonians adventuring off planet are energy wizards. Once they traveled off planet they started teaching this occupation to other races.

Energy wizards can cast spells which generate electricity, can stun or kill an opponent, create light to see by or a blinding light, cause themselves or others to become invisible, and surround themselves with invisible energy barrier or project the barrier in thin air, forming a wall. All the magical spells of a energy wizard require them to make special hand gestures and utter magic words, although some scientists speculate these are merely psychological crutches for accessing their innate powers over energy.

To learn more about perytonians, I suggest purchasing and reading Robotech II: The Role Playing Game: The Sentinels by Kevin Siembieda.
