Explanation of the conversion: Having Enhanced Senses in a Power Framework requires special permission from the Game Master.

Beetle History: Abner Jenkins was born in Baltimore, Maryland. He became a master mechanic at Precision Aircraft Parts of Queens, New York for seven years. Bored with his job, he tried to interest the company in a set of plans for some new innovative hydraulic technology he'd created that would allow him to create a personal flying suit. He was ignored by his superiors due to his lack of an engineering degree. Despondent over the lack of respect they showed him he used his plans as the basis for his first Beetle armor (Thunderbolts: Distant Rumblings #1).

He turned to crime in hopes of winning the fame, wealth, and thrills denied him at work. His first super powered opponent was the Human Torch II, but he became a perennial foe of both Daredevil and Spider-Man. Later in his career he frequently allied himself with other super-criminals, both in the Masters of Evil III and his own Sinister Syndicate. While with the third Masters he first met Moonstone II, who would later become a fellow Thunderbolt. He has redesigned his armor over the years. He also worked for Justin Hammer as an enforcer. Due to his failures as a leader he made enemies of several other super villains, such as Boomerang and Rhino. Since that time, Jenkins became increasingly upset with his failure to achieve success in this career, either.

Incredible Hulk #449 Abe was approached by Baron Zemo II to become part of him Thunderbolts scheme, and become the hero MACH-1. His armor has been reworked turning it into the MACH-1 armor, with the considerable assistance of Techno. As MACH-1, which stands for Mobile Armored Cyber-Harness, he's capable of high-speed flight and maneuverability, and has a wide variety of on-board sensors, communications equipment and weaponry, including machine guns, missile launchers, and gas grenades. His armor is very maneuverable and capable of high speed flight.

Heroes For Hire #7 Abe fought alongside the Thunderbolts and the Heroes For Hire to defeat the Super Adaptoid (Heroes For Hire #7).

After spending a good deal of time with her Abe started a romance with fellow Thunderbolt Songbird. Abe sided with most of the other Thunderbolts when they rebelled against Zemo and became real heroes. Crimson Cowl III then offered the team the option to join her Masters of Evil VI, and gave them time to think about it.

Mach-1 With the Thunderbolts, MACH-1 helped stop a bank robbery in Boulder, Colorado and were approached from some kids who escaped from Burton Canyon. They reported that an army called the Imperial Forces had taken over the town and no one would help. The Thunderbolts infultrated the town and were confronted with Charcoal The Burning Man. After allowing themselves to be captured in civilian identities, Moonstone II snuck in with their costumes and they broke out the other captives and fought Charcoal. During the fight the Masters arrived told them they had to make up their minds soon about joining them, and Charcoal escaped (Thunderbolts #19).

With Hawkeye now leading the Thunderbolts, Abe was asked to turn himself in to do time for a murder he had committed as the Beetle, and served time in Seagate prison. Since the Vault had recently been destroyed he served with a number of other super villains.

While in prison he foiled a prison break masterminded by Justin Hammer and involving the Rhino, Boomerang and Whirlwind. This was noticed by U.S. government agents Peter Gyrich and Valorie Cooper, who arranged to get him out of prison if he agreed to work under cover for them. He built a new Beetle armor and pretended to audition as a mercenary for Hammer.

Matthew Davis After he returned to the Thunderbolts Techno II (who was impersonating Thunderbolts member Ogre) helped Abe build a new armor called MACH-2 and operated on Abe to change his looks so no one would know it was Abe, who was supposedly still in prison. Abe took the name Matthew Davis.

Abe was able to fineally gain a pardon thanks to a deal cut by Hawkeye, but under the agreement that he gave up his armor and agreed to avoid heroic activities. He and Songbird left the Thunderbolts together (Thunderbolts #50).

When Graviton attempted to take over the Earth again and was able to defeat the Redeemer, Citizen V IV ordered the V Batallion to send him a new Songbird harness and their MACH-3 armor, which he used to recruit Abe and Melissa into becoming heroes again to fight Graviton, along side the ressurected Atlas (Thunderbolts #57).

Thunderbolts #58 Through a mixture of surprise tactics and negotiation, all of the Thunderbolts managed to fight Graviton to a standstill and revealed that the aliens known as the P'Tah were using Graviton's energies to open a portal to the P'Tah's dimension. The Thunderbolts fought back the P'Tah invasion, but it took Graviton's dying effort to cause the portal to implode, sending himself and the P'Tah back. At the same time, Graviton saved the Thunderbolts from a similar fate, using his powers to send them to the planet known as Counter-Earth (Thunderbolts #58-59).

On Counter-Earth Jolt II, Moonstone II, Fixer II, Atlas and MACH-3 woke up in Russia confronted by that world's Thunderbolts. Fixer II and Moonstone II were able to fast talk their way out of being attacked. They decided to help some local people during a famine and work they way to Germany, in hopes of using their new space program to return to Earth. The Fixer II also learned that the digital essense of Baron Zemo II had been pulled out of Citizen V II and was now living in his tech-pack (Thunderbolts #60).

The Thunderbolts arrived in Germany and were able to get themselves close to a new communications satellite that was being launched by that world's Thunderbolts. Fixer II was able to download the essense of Baron Zemo II into the body of that world's counterpart. When the Thunderbolts were unable to take the satellite for themselves and discovered it was going to be used to control all the world's communications, they destroyed it rather then let Germany rule the planet (Thunderbolts #62).

The Thunderbolts began to establish themselves as the leading superheroes of the troubled Counter-Earth.

Trivia: Beetle II, a member of the Redeemers, wore Abner's last beetle armor, which the U.S. government captured and gave to her.

Powers: Abe has no superhuman powers but he does wear a suit of power armor which the V Batallion created. The Mobile Armored Cyber-Harness Mark 3 allows Abe to fly, increases his strength, protects him from harm, offers a suite of enhanced sensors and is invisible to most conventional forms of electronic detection. His in built weapon systems include lasers, explosive missles and electromagnetic pulse grenades. He can lift at least 5 tons while in the armor.

Over the years Abe has worn a number of power armors. Initially he wore one he invented himself as the Beetle, but then later the Tinkerer was able to build him more advanced armors. Later on he utilized circuits stolen from early plans utilized by Iron Man's armor, but Iron Man was able to destroy these components. The MACH-1 suit was created by Techno, and the MACH-2 suit was created by Techno II in the guise of the Ogre.
