Hand and Non-verbal Gestures/Commands

Commonly gestures are used in the handling of slaves, most being hand signals where no verbal command is given or necessary for a slave who has received training in Gorean customs.

 

NADU:  "He suddenly snapped his fingers and, in the swift double gesture of the Gorean Master, pointed to a place on the dirt floor before him, almost simultaneously turning his hand, spreading the first and index fingers, pointing downwards. I fled to him and knelt before him, my knees in the dirt, in the position of the pleasure slave, my head down, trembling." - p 143, Captive of Gor

HAIR:  "I held my left hand open, at my waist. She stiffened, and looked at me, angrily. I opened and closed my left hand once. I saw her training in Gorean customs had been thorough. But she never thought that such a gesture would be used to her. She came beside me, and a bit behind me, and, crouching, put her head down, deeply. I fastened my hand in her hair." - p 409, Beasts of Gor

HAIR:  "I then snapped my fingers and held my right hand, open, at my hip. Swiftly the girl rose to her feet and, half crouching, put her head by my hand. I fastened the fingers of my hand deeply and firmly in her red hair. She winced, and kissed at my thigh. I then, the goblet of paga in my left hand, her hair in my right, dragged her beside me, her slender chains rustling, to the nearest alcove." - p 59, Rogue of Gor

On the Snap

If a slave is in the service of a Free, and He snaps His fingers, without further motions, she goes to His feet and kneels. If she is at His feet already, she stands.

 

KNEEL/STAND: "I snapped my fingers. She knelt. I snapped my fingers again. She stood." - p 215, Fighting Slave of Gor

APPROACHING: "I snapped my fingers. `Yes Master,' she said. She approached the sound and knelt before me." - p 248, Fighting Slave of Gor

Bellying As a Slave: "`And if they should snap their fingers and point to the floor?' I asked. `Then I would swiftly lie before them, and as a slave,' she said." Rogue of Gor pg. 102

Question and Response During the training of Kajirae, it is common to be asked repeatedly some of the following questions, in this a girl is constantly reminded of who and what she is and what her purpose is as well.
  "What is the duty of a slave girl' I inquired.
'Absolute obedience' she said, frightened.
'What are you?' I inquired.
'A slave girl,' she said.
'What is your duty?' I asked.
'Absolute obedience,' she cried out."

Kajira Mantras For newly acquired slaves, it is important to have the proper mind set and understand thoroughly what they are, nothing more then property, chattel with which an owner can do what he pleases, a kajira is truly owned.
  "He is Master and I am slave. He is owner and I am owned. He is to be pleased and I am to please. Why is this? Because he is Master and I am slave." pg 184 Explorers of Gor
"Position" It is not uncommon for a kajira to be reminded of the proper way in which she should kneel before a free man with one word is she reminded of her place.
  "Position, Slut!" I snapped at the girl. Swiftly, the Lady Florence, frightened, knelt in the straw. She knelt back on her heels, her back straight, her head up, her hands on her thighs. She knelt in the position of a house slave. I looked at her sternly. Swiftly she spread her knees. She knelt now in the position of the pleasure slave, the slave of interest to men." p 346, Explorers of Gor
Put Through Paces On Display Kajira are often required to demonstrate their knowledge and advancement in training by being put through slave paces, one of which is the beauty of display.
  "Stand!" said the merchant. "Head back! Hands behind head! Bend backwards! Farther! Farther!" He turned to us. "Acceptable," he said. Then to the girl he issued orders, rapidly, harshly. I watched, with interest, as the girl, tears in her eyes, responded to his swiftly issued, abrupt commands. For more than four ehn he put her through a swift, staccato regimen of movement, a set of slave paces, assessment paces, designed to exhibit, vulnerably, decisively and publicly, her beauty, in all of it major attitudes and positions. "Hands on hips! Be insolent! Hands behind back! Hands crossed before you, as though bound! Hands at throat, as though chained to collar, fingers before mouth! Fall to the floor! Kneel! Head down! Head up! Bend backwards! Farther! Roll to the floor, on your side, on your back, right leg high, now flexed, left leg high, now flexed, to your side, right leg extended, palms on floor, left leg extended, palms on floor! Appear angry! Appear frightened! Appear aroused! Smile!" He did this with the same swift, expert objectivity, and clinical detachment, that a physician might bring to a routine medical examination; this examination, of course, was a beauty examination, assessing the desirability of a female slave. Tribesmen
Commanded to Perform Positions A slave put through her paces with positions. Commanded to perform them one after another for the Master.
 

“Lesha,” snapped the second officer to the blond girl. She spun from facing him, and lifted her chin, turning her head to the left, placing her wrists behind her, as though for snapping them into slave bracelets. “Nadu!” he snapped. She swiftly turned, facing him, and dropped to her knees. She knelt back on her heels, her back straight, her hands on her thighs, her head up, her knees wide. It was the position of the pleasure slave. “Sula, Kajira!” said the man. She slid her legs from under her and lay on her back, her hands at her sides, palms up. her legs open. “Bara, Kajira!” he said. She rolled quickly to her stomach, placing her wrists behind her, crossed, and crossing her ankles, ready to be bound. “She is a pretty thing,” said Ulafi, and turned away. “Yes,” I said. “Sula!” said the man. “Bara! Nadu! Lesha! Nadu! Bara! Sula! Nadu!” The girl was gasping. There were tears in her eyes, as she knelt on the deck. Once she had been struck when her transition between two of the movements had been insufficiently beautiful. Another time she had been struck when her response had been insufficiently prompt." Beg for Love Begging for any and all things is found to be both beautiful as well as a useful way to control a slave, little or nothing is ever simply given to them. *See below as well for a similar command.
  "You!" said the trainer, gesturing to another girl with his Whip. "To his feet! Beg for love!" This girl hurried forward and knelt before Drusus Rencius. "I beg for love, Master," she whispered. "You!" said the trainer, indicating another girl. She, too, hurried forward. She knelt before Drusus Rencius, her palms on the floor, her head to the very tiles. "I beg for love," she whispered. "I beg for love, Master."

Beg to be Used Begging for any and all things is found to be both beautiful as well as a useful way to control a slave, little or nothing is ever simply given to them. By such strict and tight control can a slave truly know she is mastered.
  "You may now beg to be used as a slave," he said. "I beg to be used as a slave, Master," I said." Kajira of Gor 339
Blanket - "Coverage" or "Cloaking" This, while not technically a command, is still an action the slave should remember. If something is thrown over her head she must remain silent and motionless until freed from it.
  "I then threw the second blanket, the top blanket over her, covering her completely. When a blanket, or cloak, or covering of any sort, is thrown over a slave like this she may not speak or rise. She must remain as she is, silent, until the master , or some free man, lifts the covering away." Explorer's of Gor pg 94
Bound by Master's Will

Refers to a slave being commanded to hold position, as though bound, hands clasping opposite wrists until she is released.

 

"She wore the `bonds of the master's will.' Grunt had put her in them. She could not rise to her feet. Yet there was not a rope or strap on her body. She was `bound by the master's will.' She could not move from this position unless, at the word of a free person, she was freed from it. To break the position otherwise is to be instantly slain." Blood Brothers of Gor pg 248

Har-ta: The command meaning, literally, "faster". I shouted to my tarn, in Gorean and in English. 'Har-ta! Har-ta! Faster! Faster!' Tarnsman of Gor pg 57

“Har-ta!” said Imnak to the girls. “Har-ta!” The expression ‘har-ta’ is Gorean. “Faster! Faster!” Beasts of Gor pg 191

Juice Simply put, it is a slaves duty to be ready to serve in all ways, her sexuality is muchly dependant upon the whims of those she serves and so this command is given slaves for them to ready themselves of use.
  'Before he had taken the sack from its shelf he had ordered me to the floor of the utility room, to my back on the dusty boards. "Lie there and juice;" he had told me. 'Waste no time about it." I had lain there and, briefly, shut my eyes and thought of his might and power, and my helpless slavery, and then I was ready, almost in a moment, to receive his lie and had me swiftly." Kajira of Gor 275
Orgasm/Yielding It is common for a slave to have all things controlled, for they are owned in all ways, one way is the need for a slave to beg for release, which even that can be withheld at the owners whim.
 

"You may now yield, Lady Sheila," he said, "as you have begged, as a slave." "Thank you, Master!" I cried, and threw my head back elation and gratitude, and freed myself of feeling, and, as He mastered me, cried out my slave's submission to him." Kajira of Gor

'Then, after a time, at last, he permitted her her slave's yielding, and in it she cried out her slavery, and her submission to men, and, specifically, to he who was her master of the evening." Kajira of Gor

Run

When this command is given, the slave runs toward her objective, taking short rapid steps, with her legs almost straight, her feet hardly leaving the floor. As she moves her back is straight, her head is turned to the left, and her arms are at her sides, her palms facing outward at a 45 degree angle to her body. Upon reaching her objective she drops gracefully to her knees and typically resumes the position of Nadu.

 

"I was amused, for she had run as a slave girl is sometimes taught to run, with rapid short steps, her legs almost straight, her feet scarcely leaving the ground, back straight, head turned to the left, arms at her sides, palms out at a forty-five degree angle, more of a dancer's motion than a true run." Assassin of Gor pg. 45

She-Quadruped

This is not technically a position but is definitely a command sometimes used for punishment. When ordered into this mode the slave stays on all fours, like an animal, and cannot speak or reach for things with her hands. she is kept quite definitely as only a mute pet much like any sleen would act. Sometimes the slave is even taught tricks she must learn without the help of verbal clues.

 

"In this form of slavery, which is commonly used for disciplinary purposes, or for the amusement of the Master, the woman is not permitted to arise from all fours; similarly she is not permitted human speech, though she may signify needs and desires by such means as cringing, and moaning and whimpering. Not permitted the use of her hands, save as a means of locomotion, she must also eat and drink from pans set on the floor, or, sometimes to satisfy her thirst, she must lap the water permitted to her from puddles or lick pillages from the tiles; too, it is no uncommon to chain her near her master's feet, while he dines, that he may, if he wishes, throw her scraps of food. She will also be taught tricks, through which paces she may be put for the entertainment of her master's guests, such things as begging, lying down, rolling over, and fetching his sandals in her teeth. And, needless to say, when her master wishes to use her sexually, it will be a position common to the she-quadruped." - p 225, Guardsman of Gor

Slave Lips

When this command is given, the slave turns her head up to the Master, her lips pursed in a sensual kissing position. She remains motionless, her lips thusly puckered, and may not move until she is granted the kiss of a Master.

 

Similarly, I was not required to respond to certain sorts of commands, for example, to make "slave lips," pursing my lips for kissing, or to writhe slowly before my viewers." Kajira of Gor, p 224

"A girl who is commanded to make slave lips, or who receives the command, `Slave lips,' must form her mouth for kissing. She then, commonly, is not permitted to break this lips position until she kisses or is kissed. Needless to say, a girl cannot speak when her lips are in the unbroken, fully pursed slave lips position. The command which commonly follows the `Slave lips' command is, `Please me." Blood Brothers of Gor, p 11

Stake Command

Positioning of a slave by a stake, whereby a voice command is enough to have the slave belly and is not allowed to rise.

 

"When chained at a stake with this command the slave lies down and is not permitted to rise even to her knees." - p 386, Vagabonds of Gor
