Background: Born in Amphipolis, Xena got her first experience of war defending her hometown from a warlord, and later came to be the leader of a terrible army that struck fear into the hearts of all who encountered it. In the end, she realised that what she was doing was wrong, and set out to atone for her sins by defending the weak and righting wrongs wherever she went.
She was helped in her task by Gabrielle, a young bard who joined her on her travels. Gabrielle became Xena’s truest friend, and Xena relied very much on her guidance.
Xena has incredible combat skills – not only is she quicker and more cunning than almost anyone else short of a god, she also knows a mysterious pressure-points technique that can stop the flow of blood in its victims.
Xena had two children – a son, Solan, who was given away and raised by centaurs, and a daughter, Eve, also known as Livia.
