Background: Mina is an ordinary Japanese schoolgirl, but in times of trouble she can transform into Sailor Venus, one of the Sailor Senshi, warriors who draw their strength from a particular star or planet.
In her ordinary life, Mina is a typical fourteen-year-old girl - sporty, bubbly and constantly searching for a boyfriend. She is cheery and easy to get along with, and makes friends easily. She hopes one day to be a pop singer.
Her life as Sailor Venus is rather different – once she transforms, she can create energy beams and meteor showers, to name but two of her powers. She is the leader of the Inner Senshi, the main protector of Sailor Moon.
