Once the "wet hen" junior member of Granny's non-coven, Magrat is now
queen of the pocket nation of Lancre in the Ramtop Mountains and enjoys
a cheerfully clumsy marriage with former Royal Fool, Verence II.
Magrat
is your basic soppy New Age witch, weighted down with enough occult
jewellery to ballast a battleship, preoccupied with feminism and
martial
arts and the Lancre version of grrrl power yet terribly timid and
apologetic.
Nonetheless, she has her own powers, and now that she's both a queen
and
a mother she is becoming more assertive. And if anyone threatens her
man
and daughter - who is named Esmerelda, in honour of Granny - she can be
fearsome indeed!
