Background: Dana Scully joined the FBI straight out of medical school, and soon afterwards was assigned to the X-Files with Agent Fox Mulder, in order to debunk his theories of alien abductions and conspiracies. However, she quickly became Mulder’s staunchest supporter, and they investigated the paranormal and the unexplained together for seven years, and became very close.
Dana had two brothers, Charles and Bill, and a sister, Melissa. She was raised a Catholic and her faith is very important to her, and helped her cope during her battle with cancer.
As well as being a medical doctor, she possesses a degree in Physics and brings to the X-Files an ability to look at things in a logical and analytical way.
Dana had two children – Emily, born to a surrogate mother without Dana’s knowledge, and William, her child with Mulder.
