Sergeant Angua
Name: Angua von Uberwald
Book: Terry Pratchett's Discworld Series
People say that Sergeant Angua of the Ankh-Morpork City Watch is
a bit of a bitch sometimes, and truer words were never spoken. Angua
von Uberwald is the only daughter of an aristocratic Uberwald
werewolf clan (and the only copper whose youngest brother works
full time as a sheepdog). She uses her unique skills to fight crime
in
the City, although some of the criminal element know that *someone*
in the Watch is a werewolf and so sometimes compromise her
detecting ability by setting off scent bombs.
Angua is involved in a
long-running relationship with Captain Carrot Ironfoundersson, the
world's tallest dwarf (by adoption). Since Carrot is secretly the
hereditary King of Ankh, some of the older, snobbier families find
this disturbing, as they dislike the future possibility of a king
literally called Rex.
