Council Consuls

The Consuls make up the Allon Governing Council. There is one Supreme Consul and a Consul representative for each major aspect of the city. We plan to begin with the following Consuls:

1. Supreme Consul
Consul that decides who shall serve as each of the other consuls and reports on the state of the overall city. Acts as mayor.

2. Consul of Defense
Consul which reports on the status of the city's defensive and security systems and/or organizations. If more funding is required, the Consul of Defense will address the council.

3. Consul of Jedi
Consul which reports on the status of the Jedi Academy. He/she must be a Jedi.

4. Consul of Research and Development
Consul which reports and is involved in the city's industry and research, mostly in the development of new products.

5. Consul of Trade
Consul which decides trading regulations, import taxes, etc. and reports on the state of the city's trade.

6. Consul of Agriculture
Consul which reports on the city's agricultural state. If crop prices are down, drought is ruining crops, livestock problems, etc. the Consul of Agriculture will report.

7. Consul of Public Relations
Consul that reports on the well being of the population both in and out of the city. Helps with the scheduling of races, festivals, etc.

8. Consul of Environmental Protection and Zoology
Consul which reports on the wellbeing of the local environment and its wildlife. Pollution, endangered species, and other environmental factors must be taken into account.

9. Consul of Law
Consul that reports on any criminal actions in the city, but more often acts as judge.

There is no limit as to how long a Consul may hold his position, but if citizens feel that a Consul is not representing them well enough, they may address their concern at a Council meeting. This may result in the Supreme Consul's selection of a new consul in whatever area.
Council meetings will be held weekly and citizens with questions or concerns may be asked to attend providing that they have informed a Consul of their question or concern ahead of time or if they have been asked to attend by a Consul. This is the only way non-Consuls may attend a Council Meeting.

Consuls will receive a weekly salary from the city's money. This amount will be decided later, but the Supreme Consul will receive about two times the amount, because other Consuls should be expected to have another job apart from being on the Council that will help with their position.

The Supreme Consul

The Supreme Consul will select the other members of the Council. To begin, the Supreme Consul will be the human Terrin Crais (myself). When he chooses to retire, an election will be held and the population of citizens will vote between two candidates of their decision. Like all Consuls, the Supreme Consul is able to be removed from his position by a majority vote in the Council. Benefits of the Supreme Consul include:
 

· Salary two times that of normal Consuls
· A city funded starship created to the specifications of the Supreme Consul. (See the section on the Majesty below.)
· The ability to represent the city as a whole.

The Majesty

The Majesty is the ship of the Supreme Consul. The local starfighter squadron shall escort it if needed. It is mostly used for the occasional meeting on distant planets, but the Supreme Consul may keep the starship even after he retires. The type is up to the current Supreme Consul, but it should be well armed, fast, and well armored. A number will be added as each new Consul gets his ship (The first Majesty is Majesty, the second Majesty is Majesty II, the third Majesty is Majesty III, etc.)
