Sweet Nothings
Darkness hangs over my head,
Or is it light?
Something's there I know.
And it's about to crash.
Can you feel it?
The air speaks of sweet nothings
Is it love;
That will bring me down?
The thin line I walk upon
Is starting to tremble.
And I find myself
Far away from the ground.
The shock of that, will burst around me.
Like a flower in bloom.
I don't think I want it.
It has the smell of doom.
I'll retrieve to my hidden cave,
Make sure I don't cry no more.
If it falls, the promises brought
Will not affect me, good or bad.
I'm hoping it'll be good.
But luck for me is a secret
In a closet I can't open,
I never found the key.
I'll stay here waiting,
Hang on tight.
Since life for me has always been the same
I'll just expect the worse once again.
