The TME-96 Mighty Gnat is an extremely effective "annoyance fighter"--a light combat vehicle with g-pulling speed and dangerous firepower. With a maximum speed exceeding 190 kph, the Mighty Gnat is one of the fastest VTOLs in existance, and, armed with twin medium lasers, it is a formidable foe for its size. It is an uncomfortable craft to fly as the tiny cockpit is exceedingly cramped, and only one and a half tons of standard armor protects its very light frame. However, when out in force, the battle should not last long and its speed will be its defense.
