The elves turned the corner in hopes of finding a passage to the troll king's throne. All they saw was a dead end and a passage that obviously hadn't been used in years. A Go-Back threw his sword down in aggravation.
"Where do we go now?"
Leor shrugged. "Hey, Wanderers! You got any ideas?"
"I have a bad feeling about this." Wolf Fang said, scanning the tunnel leading back to surface. the trapdoor was still open. he felt a shiver run down his spine and sent out **Back! We'll be trapped!** he could hear, faint as it was, the sounds of many runing feet - heavy trol feet, coming from the tunnels surrounding the guard chamber. **RUN!! IT'S A TRAP!! TO THE TUNNEL!!**
"Sorry elves." A harsh voice said. "But as we trolls like to say, you've reached the end of your tunnel." A troll warrior stepped out of the shadows. She had small piggish eyes and tangled black hair that looked like it had never been washed. Leor cursed.
"Damn it! It's Lugworm." Brightfire looked at him.
"Okay, it's a troll. Lets kill it!!"
Without hesitating she walked up to the troll. Leor grabbed her arm. "Nononono! She killed that last three warriors who went up against her!" "Ok, well I won't be the fourth." Leor wouldn't let go.
"You don't understand. She killed that last three warriors who went at her all together."
Brightfire eyed the troll warrior, not turning her head when she open sent. **Can you walk through the stone, go-back? our _only_ way out is through that trapdoor. If we sit here and whine everbody's dead already. Let me _go_.**
Leor understood the logic behind her words and let go. **Go-Backs! you heard her. go for the door!**
Brightfire stalked the trollwarrioress, noticing Sharpclaw and Wolf Fang appear by her sides. she scolded herself for not reloading crossbow her immediately after the last shot. she fell back and tossed the weapon to a random elf. **you'd better hit that lump or I'll have your ears.**
Brightfire felt the battle lust rise in her, making her heart beat and blood flow faster with delight. she stalked the troll with Wolf Fang, moving in perfect harmony with her soul's brother. they stayed clear from the troll, circkling like snowcats ready to charge.
Then their moment came: they were at opposite sides of the troll, and both of them lunged forward. **Claw! keep pace!** they sent simultaneusly.
Brightfire grunted in urpsise when her snake-quick sting was blocked. she had never met a troll this quick, and she felt her fingers go numb from the power of the blow. her other sword flew forward from different angle, finding it's place in trolls thigh. Brightfire groaned inwarfly. that wound was hardly a scrach, and she had had more luck than neither of her battle-mates. together the three of them managed to drive her away from the tunnel.
