Newleaf giggled. "What if someone lets him out?"

Before someone could answer her, Dreambrook came up behind her and said "Let who out?"

"Nobody!" Slayer said quickly.

Dreambrook raised his eyebrow. "Hmm. Well have any of you seen Yarrowsharp?" They all shook their heads. "Well, if you see him, tell him we need him."

Newleaf giggled again, but then restored again, and nodded. "Sure we will!" She said, and then turned around, trying not to laugh out loud. Treemoss hissed to her. "Quit."

Newleaf nodded again. "Sorry." She whispered.

Yarrowsharp was busily scolding himself. *just what Miry had said, I should be old enough not to be fooled like this. somebody's going to suffer...* he thumped the stone wall for the last time, growling to himself. **Dreambrook. might you get your rump to the food store? I'm a bit stuck.** his sending was acid, but carried no hint of danger.

Dreambrook stood in front of the meat store and sighed. **How did you get yourself into this one?**

**Those blasted cubs! They tricked me!**

**Well at least we know they'll know how to outwit their enemies when they're outnumbered.**

**Get me out of here!**

Dreambrook sighed again. "Miry! Can you help me move this blasted rock? We need to get Yarrowsharp out of the meatstore!"

Her shoulders shaking with laughter Miry walked to the store door, grabbing Slayer with her as she went. "I'm a bit useless now" she said to Dreambrook, padding her belly "but I'm sure this one'll gladly help you." she pushed Slayer forward.

The youth grumbled, but helped anyway to push the stone aside. Yarrowsharp walked out rather stiffly.

"If somebody mentions this with /one word/ later he'll regret it." the elder healer looked at Slayer and Dreambrook warningly.

Newleaf giggled when she heared Yarrowsharps last words. She stepped forward. "Mention what?" She asked, trying to look like a sweet innoncent cub.

"Absoloutly nothing!" Yarrowsharp said. Miry shooed Slayer and Newleaf away and then turned to Yarrowsharp.

"Will you tell us what happened, so we can figure out who did this?" Grumbling Yarrowsharp related what had happened. Miry began pacing. "So, someone moved the stone. The only people who are strong enough to do it, besides any of us are..."

"Redbird and Slayer!" Dreambrook finished.

Yarrowsharp began to growl. he caught up with Slayer with a few flying steps and whipped the youth around by his shoulder.

**What in the name of the lost Palace were you trying to do!? your little troll-dung brains frozen up or what?** Battering him with his sending Yarrowsharp could barely restrain himself from using his fists. **This is no stupid little game of yours! Do you want to see your tribemates killed because of your 'litte fun'? ANSWER ME! you like to mourn your dead, do you?**

Still fuming Yarrowsharp grabbed Slayer's jacket and threw him to the snow.

Slayer looked up at Yarrowsharp. "Mourn my dead? What dead? The only way my tribemates are gonna die is if you kill them! If you've noticed, there aren't any trolls around!"

Yarrowsharp grabbed his jacket again. "You want to know why you aren't fighting the trolls? Because you're a cub! You're so immature and foolish that you can't fight and die like a warrior!"

Slayer fumed. "Just because you can't take a joke..."

"A JOKE! Miry shouted. "YOU CALL THAT A JOKE!" Angry she stormed away, leaving him at the mercy of Yarrowsharp and Dreambrook.

"Now you listen to me and listen good." Yarrowsharp hissed as he pulled Slaeyr to the level of his eyes, locking his anger-black eyes into his. **I'm going to talk very slowly to be sure you understand. if... you... play.. foolish... tricks.. like.. this... distracking warriors... and healer... and the trolls attack... will you be able to defend ever your own hide? can you defend the cubs? I don't think so. it's not my face I'm worried for, you witless pile of fish guts! it's the CUBS' LIVES! and YOURS!!**

Yarrowsharp threw Slayer down in the snow again. "Stupid pup." He snarled. Turning to Dreambrook he said, "You talk to him. I'm gonna start beating him if I stay here." He stormed off to the lodge.

Slayer watched him leave and then turned to Dreambrook. "I have to admit, that was one of the more interesting lectures anybody's ever given me."

Dreambook jerked Slayer up by his jacket and pointed to a rock. "Sit down. I'm going to give you a boring and uninteresting three hour lecture."

"Aww.."

Dreambrook held up his hand to silence him. "First of all, what you did showed disrespect and dishonesty for your elders..."

"And what you did was..." Dreambrook stopped talking when he realized that Slayer wasn't paying attention. "Slayer have you heard a word I said?"

"To be truthful, I quit listening after the first hour."

Dreambrook sighed and jerked Slayer to his feet. "Move."

"What? Why?"

"You are going to apologize to Yarrowsharp."

"I hate apologizing! People always chew me out and give me some boring lecture about how glad they are I'm finally showing some sense or whatever!"

"Well I could make this three hour lecture into a five hour lecture, if you'd rather endure that."

Slayer groaned. "You're evil."

"Yes I am."

When they got to the lodge Dreambrook forced Slayer in the room where Yarrowsharp teaching a Go-Back how to sharpen a knife. Slayer looked at the ground and mumbled something to the floor.

"What?" Yarrowsharp asked.

"I'msorryItrickedyouandstuckyouinthemeatstoreandIpromisenevertodoitagain." Slayer took a breath and held it waiting for a response.

"Hopefully not." Yarrowshap answered, cocking an eyebrow. "oh, come on. Stop acting like a sorry cub. it looks stupid on a grown-up elf." He stood up, slapping Slayer playfully on the shoulder. "Now, bugger off and try to stay out of trouble."
