Crew Bio's

History:

Vince was born in Vancouver as it used to be known into an Engineering family which tried there best during short wars and such to bring him up to understanding Engineering as a whole. Vince first knew and understood Engineering during his schooling period in which during his spare time he would read up to hopefully be like his dad someday, a Starfleet Engineer. When Vince reached 16 he joined Starfleet academy where he passed his Engineering course with ease and then went on to finish his backup, Security. Sadly Vince never liked the Security role so he never told any of his officers about it unless they found out first. Vince then served on the USS Enterprise-C where he served with his father, Lt. Jack McKing, and for two years he served on board with his father.

Then during his basic training he was transferred to Starbase 169, where the Enterprise-C was on shore leave before there next boarder patrol along the Klingon boarder, it was during this time that the Enterprise-C was lost fighting the Romulans to protect a Klingon Starbase. Vinces father was killed during the battle and Vinces mother was devastated. Vince doesn't blame anyone for the death of his father, but still is very sad that his father never seen him as a Chief Engineer.

Vince was then transferred to the USS Burnage, an Excelsior class, which was asked to explore near the Cardassian boarder for new civilisations. For four years they searched along the way finding 2 new civilisations and also one of them is a U.F.P. member. During this time Vince met his first proper girlfriend inboard the USS Burnage, but sadly never seen her after being transferred to the USS Enterprise-D for further training as an Engineer.

Vince then served along side some of the officers in Starfleet during his training onboard the Enterprise-D, and after being onboard the C before her destruction was happy to serve once more on an Enterprise. Vince served onboard the D for two years before failing his training and then leaving to be repositioned to another ship. Vince was then transferred to another Galaxy class, the USS Galaxy. Vince was trained up during the boarder patrol along the Romulan boarder, and was caught in many battles against Romulan D'deridex class warbirds, sometimes two at a time.

They where caught trying to enter Federation space cloaked, but the USS Galaxy was always there to respond. During this time Vince was promoted at Lui. during his time on board the Galaxy. After two years Vince was asked to leave the Galaxy to report to Starfleet command for advanced engineer training and he accepted. During this time the USS Galaxy was destroyed by the Dominion assault and Vince was shocked, luck had again been on his side.

After spending a year training he was promoted to Lui.Commander and also placed onboard the USS Providence, a Galaxy class Starship. During this time the Dominion invaded the Alpha Quadrant and Vinces mother was an Engineer in one of the first battles involving the Dominion and the Federation. Vinces mother was disabled and cannot walk, Vince is saddened by this, but still fights on during the Dominion war.

Vince has served throughout the war against the Dominion, but his most famous moment was halfway through the war, where he received an award for bravery. The USS Providence was in a major battle, one which the Federation where loosing. The battle group outflanked and the Federation losses mounting, the battle was going in the way of the Dominion. The Providence was one of the big ships in the main column that was on the side of the flank that was destroyed. An Assault was launched to take out the remaining central column leaving the left flank to be destroyed and it was the USS Providence's job to make sure it didn't happen.

With the Providence's shields failing a massive attack knocked out the Providence's shields, cut out main power and also caused massive damage to Engineering. Vince, caught by a massive piece of bulkhead, was cut all the way down his left side of his body and was bleeding heavily. Vince managed to get up and start to order his remaining men around while bleeding, and during this time he managed to get main power back online and also restore shields to maximum capability while under heavy fire from Dominion attack ships. Vince then served until the Federation won the battle until he collapsed due to blood loss. To this day Vince still holds the scar that runs down his body dispite doctors advice to get rid of it using a skin repairer, Vince likes to keep it as a sign of his defiance against those against the Federation. Vince is now famous throughout Starfleet for saving a dying class of ship and is also proud to serve on one of the last remaining Galaxy class. So far Vince has never regretted the day he joining the USS Providence and some day wishes to return to Starfleet command and design ships for the Federation.
