History: Captain Jones is one of the few people in the universe to have a unique genetic disorder that makes him virtually immortal within Earth's atmosphere. Born 3,000 years ago to a Celtic Clan living in the High Lands of Scottland. Jones first discovered his unique condition when he was fataly mauled by a bear on a hunting trip. Recovering from his wounds, Jones suspected he was different from his Clans Men. His suspisions were confirmed when he was killed in battle by an arrow through the heart, yet was able to pull the arrow out of his chest and lived.
Jones was able to conceal his unique ability to not die for a number of years, then he realized that he did not age as well. Soon he noticed his friends growing old, while he still appeard to be a youth in his twenty's. Jones left the High Lands and and set out to see the world. Through the centuries Jones has taken on the identiy of many people, and has worked in many occupations.
In the late 2200's, Jones read the report made by Captain James T. Kirk of the USS ENTERPRISE NCC 1701, about his discovery of an individual that claimed to have been Leonardo di Vincie. This individual, the industrial entuponure, Mr. Flint clamied to have lived for thousands of years. His couriosity sparked, Jones journeyed to Flints planet and discovered it was indeed his long time friend. While staying with Flint, Jones learned that as long as he was not on Earth, he would begin to age, grow old and, die. He also found out that while not on Earth, fatel wounds would be just that- fatal, while minor wounds would still heal rapidly, depending on their severity.Intrigued by star travel, Jones waited almost one hundred years before he would begin to explore the galaxy. He created a new identity and chose to use the name he had gone by during his time with the then new United States of America's Navey. He chose to reuse the name John Paul Jones because of the fond memories he had of that time of his life
