CSF Darkstar
The CSF Darkstar class starships are used primarily in the defense of base stations and key planets and systems. Fleet Commander Derek Sagan originally joined the old UCC as First Commander of the CSF Darkstar. Additionally, besides the CSF Phoenix,the CSF Darkstar is the only class starship capable of carrying the Elving-Mantu Sub-Space Disrupter.
CSF Whitestar
A counterpart to the CSF Darkstar, the CSF Whitestar is more manuverable and faster than the CSF Darkstar, but it is smaller, carries a smaller payload, and has less armour. The CSF Whitestar is the smallest RUCC starship with the capability to jump into hyper-space. This ability to jump space was one of the deciding factors in the Starfire Wars and allowed for many key victories against the Corasian invaders.
CSF Crassus
The CSF Crassus is the largest class of the CSF fleet carriers. The spacecraft payload of the Crasus carriers is only superceded by the RUCC flagship Phoenix II. While relatively slow moving, the Crassus carriers have an extensive array of defensive weapons. Not to be caught off-guard, Crassus carriers are normally stationed within battle fleets for maximum security. While Crassus carriers are few in numbers, they have been known to drastically change the outcomes of battles with their enormous fighter and bomber capacity.
CSF Stargazer
The CSF Stargazer class carrier is the smaller of the carrier classes. With very few weapons, this carrier is much more vulnerable to attack than its larger cousin. However, what this craft lacks in weaponry, it more than makes up for in speed. The Stargazer class carriers have made their mark in the Galaxy as the visible precursers to massive invasions. The Stargazers have primarily been sent in before a battle fleet to neutralize key strategic positions or ambush small convoys of enemy forces. The Stargazer class carriers are to be dreaded when seen in force.
