S.T.A.R.S. (Special Tactics And Rescue Service) S.T.A.R.S. is a special organization set up in Raccoon City and is sort of what you would know as a S.W.A.T. team. The organization was founded under the jurisdiction of the Raccoon City Police Department to deal with increasing terrorism and crime. The S.T.A.R.S. Headquarters is located within the Raccoon City Police Department where it is operated from. The team is made up of 12 members, each having special qualifications. The group of 12 is broken down into two separate teams (6 people on each team) known as Alpha and Bravo. The Alpha Team is superior to Bravo and is headed by Captain Albert Wesker. The Bravo Team is headed by Captain Enrico Marini. The team has been very successful in almost all crucial rescue missions and terrorist situations.
