HISTORY: Raven is the last of a race of cosmic beings, who came to earth seeking the X-Women's help. Another entity of his race, the evil Cosmic, had completely wiped out Raven's 'collective', and Raven was just ahead of the rampaging madman. The X-Women agreed to help him after he rescued them from a trap set by Mr. Sinister, and Raven and Gambit devised a psychic wormhole to trap Cosmic's consciousness in the astral plane. A grateful Raven stayed on earth after the defeat, showing up whenever the X-Women needed a helping hand. Raven, for all his great cosmic knowledge, possesses the personality of a hyperactive teenager, and his omnipotent prophecies are sometimes skewed.
