Atog
· +2 Dexterity, -2 Intelligence
· Medium-size
· Base Movement Speed: 30'
· Atogs have Darkvision out to 60'
· Atogs are incapable of rational or ordered thought, and can
never have a Lawfull alignment.
· Atogs receive a +1 racial bonus to all saving throws vs.
effects generated by artifacts or machinery. This bonus increases
by +1 every 5th level to a maximum of +5 at 20th level.
· Atogs do not eat normal food, but instead eat the metal of
machinery and artifacts. They can only eat metal that has been
forged, hammered, or otherwise shaped by humanoid hands. For
every 10 pounds of machinery they eat, they can temporarily raise
their Strength and Constitution scores by 2 points. This is an
extraordinary ability and it lasts for [(1d4x10)+20] minutes for
every 10 pounds of machinery eaten. When this happens, the
machinery they've eaten is transformed and rushes to their limbs,
causing them to gain greatly in mass. Other than this, Atogs need
to eat per day an ammount of machinery equal to the ammount of
food a similiar-sized creature would need to eat. When expend
consumed machinery to enhance their stature it is used up.
· An Atog's favored class is Fighter.
· Automatic Languages: Common and Atog.
The Atogs fled to Teripin from their home multiverse of Dominia
in anticipation of the release of 6th Edition, which they were
told would no longer contain them, because it wouldn't be fair to
include them and not include the degenerate sub-races of Atog,
and that the degenerate sub-races would just take up to much
space to be included. With immanent death on the horizon, a mass
exodus of Atogs began. By utilizing a collection of unique
artifacts they'd never gotten around to eating in a harmonious
way, they were able to scatter themselves throughout other
realms. A good number of them landed on Teripin.
A number of members of the sub-races fled with them, or fled
using there own means, and a handfull of them landed on Teripin.
Because of their smaller initial starting number and the fact
that the more predominate and powerfull Atogs tend to look
askance at them or, worse, tend to want to look at their innards,
Auratogs and Chronatogs are still quite a minority on Teripin.
The Foratogs and Necratogs are much better tolerated, however,
though they still aren't as populous as Atogs. About 3% of the
Dominians on Teripin are Chronatogs, 3% are Auratogs, 12% are
Foratogs, 12% are Necratogs, and 70% are Atogs.
Each of the Atog sub-races is a strain of Atog that evolved to
live in a different magical environment and developed a different
dietary need. The Necratogs eat corpses and the Foratogs eat
trees, which Atogs are more or less ok with, though it does
occassionally confuse them a slight bit as to why they would want
to do something like that. The Auratog eats raw magic, and the
Chronatog eats time itself. Most Atogs don't have the mental
capacity to even become to boggle at these metaphysical
bizarrities, and tend to react to Auratogs and Chronatogs with
fear, curiousity, hate, or a combination of any of the above.
Characters from any of these sub-races also have different
Ability Score Modifiers and saving throw bonuses.
Atog Clerics worship the Atog racial deity, whose name is
unpronouncable by most other races. The Atog racial deity grants
access to the Domains of Earth, Fire, Chaos, War, and Strength.
