It was late one Sunday night, my cousin and I had just had a long night out on the town and I was driving back home alone. It's about fifteen miles between his house and mine. Well, about two miles from my house on the main highway is an old bridge which is at the current time being replaced. I was about five yards from crossing this bridge and I noticed a that someone was climbing over the side of the bridge onto the road, at this time I'm almost to the man which looks like a fisherman and then he walked out right in front of me. I swerved to dodge him and this freaked me out some so I looked in the rear view mirror to see if I could view the man with the lights of the car behind me or if he would also have to swerve to dodge the crazed man, but nothing the car kept right on it's original course. The ghost had disappeared. My heart nearly stopped. I told my cousin as soon as possible about the encounter and he was shocked. But just the other day he told me that on his way back to his house crossing that bridge he saw a man sitting on the edge with his back to him. As my cousin was about passed him the man turned and smiled. It took my cousin a second to remember my story and when he turned to look at the man again the ghost had disappeared. I feared for the longest time that the ghost would cause a wreck. I believe that the ghost will be happier now that they are building a new bridge about fifty yards from the current one. Maybe it will not bother anyone or anything and stay in the same area as the old bridge.
