Written: 2/4/02I have newfound reason to dislike my Honors Physiology teacher. He is changing his grading systems mid–semester. Instead of a system where anything equaled points, he has resorted to the loathsome systems my AP Spanish Language teacher uses: homework counts for our minuscule work habits grade; tests are the only substances for our grades. Thanks to my AP Nap Time teacher’s systems I have a ‘C’ in that class. Physiology was already difficult, so thanks to the system I had a ‘C.’ Now only God knows what I may receive.
,dd>My Physiology teacher will also resort to a ranking system, used usually in colleges. This is a high school, the class not even an AP class. Should not a line be drawn?
What would prompt a seemingly already mentally unfit teacher to change his or her grading systems mid-semester? Cheating on tests is supposedly a chronic malady in the class I have. Supposedly a few students cheated on the final; the teachers knows these people and has spoken with these people, but he still deems it necessary to punish the whole for the wrongdoing of the few.
A shame I have little to no way within my power to change this teacher’s mind or switch out of the class; this school’s own system conveniently prevents such.
