News and Updates

Yeah, it's self explanatory. Here you've got your newses and updates. And with the new year comin' round, I decided that this place doesn't need stuff from a year ago. But, if you're like me and like to reminisce, there's an archive.

1/7/02: Own mein got! It's the New Year! Huzaah! . . . I'm back at school. Not-so-huzzah. Okay, well, I did it again! I've made up yet another RP campaign called "Tales of the World Widw Wanderder". Check it out!

1/26/02: Hoo-boy, left this place in the lurch . Well, Senior year's a brat, and then you get Newbie-Hunting to do in GFW, RP-ing, taking logs of RPs --- but enough of that. There's another story in 'RiftWar', called "Difficult Task." Tons of new pics in that respective section, mostly all by Meg. Put up another link in my links section; her Ramblings are akin to my Picturesques, so check Connie's Trainyard out. I also fixed up the 'RiftWar' Sountrack page so there aren't as many spaces. *shrugs* That's about it. I've been RP-ing more than writing, so that's why there's such a gap in story posts. *shrugs again* . . . Oh wow, added a couple stories in GC's World, "Day of Reckoning" and "Coming Together." I'm so proud of myself . . . Put up another guest poem, by Meg, titled "Lady Liberty."

1/27/02: Wow, I was on a roll this weekend. Okay, um, tons new Picturesques, up to Number Nine. Fixed up GC's World a bit and added another story there, titled "Swindled."

2/1/02: Um, I've been punished for punishment's sake, and thusly couldn't get online at all over the week. So, yeah, um --- filmatleven, I suppose, to quote Feintuch.

2/2/02: One more Picturesque up, Numero Diez.

2/9/02: Couple more stories up in GC's World, "Ascending the Ladder" and "Day of Terror." Also, linked to a 'RiftWar' Bios page and updated the 'RiftWar' RP Timeline last night . . . Later on, I added another GC's World story, Mysterious Ways. Also added a couple more Picturesques, so now we're up to Doce; that's twelve, by the way . . .

2/10/02: Added more Picturesques, so now we're up to Number Nineteen.

2/22/02: Twenty Picturesques now.

2/24/02: New story in GC's World, titled "Newbies in the Data." Also new Picturesques, up to Number Twenty-Four.

3/8/02: Lots of stuff happening. TOTWWW is now quasi-canned. Read more in the approporaite areas. Meg's artwork is now on her own site. Read more in the respective areas. More Picturesques, so now we're up to Twnety-Nine. And please, please, please, PLEASE take the web-poll featured on my welcoming page! The future of "Altered Worlds" depends on it!

3/23/02: Holy sheet, tonight will be the one-year anniversary of FLEET HQ! And whaddaya know? I'm actually going to try and start doing the stuff I had intended for the future! I have the notebooks ready for Guardian and Andusian epics, along with a fictional story about 9/11; I've always wanted to do such, but I never could figure out what. Now I have. Also, thanks to a late-night brainstorm of some nights ago I found out how to give 'Sci-fi' her backstory that includes both her Fleet and DOOM backstories. God I love my brain . . . HAPPY ANNIVERSARY . . .! OH! Now that I have virtually nothing of anyone else in my pics section, I'm beefing it up a bit with something else.

3/24/02:I revamped this page a bit, and added a Guardian to that respective area. Ooh, and I've written the first paragraph to my Andusian epic . . .! Later on, two new Picturesques, and I revamped the links page a bit again . . . And, later on, I scanned and uploaded my very first pic! Meaning I used the scanner at home for the first time. Be proud of me! The pic's an image too.

3/25/02: I bruised my online reputation by linking to some more pics I've drawn. That's right: me. Hown mein got. Established online artits view at your expense. I can't be sued for medical expenses (I'm sure it's possible for someone to laugh their way to the hospital); I have no money

3/26/02: I revamped my Miscellaneous Pics/Images page so it looks a bit cleaner in my opinion; I also added another pic of mine to that respective page. View at your peril!

4/5/02: Well, my former 'RiftWar' assistant and I have had a rather deep tiff, so I don't feel like associating with him anymore, so I gotta think or sonething about how the heck to deal with that poor thing now. In other news, I've added two new additions to the Guest Work section, and added Picturesques Thirty-three to Thirty-five.

4/7/02: Added a link to that respective page . . . And I'm still thinking about what I should do about poor 'RiftWar'.

4/12/02: I have learned what I can/should/will do with 'RiftWar'. Check out that respective page for more information.

4/20/02: Added a new section to the welcoming page, known as Creative Writing Peices. Nothing's there yet, but things will come . . . Also fixed the name of a guest in the Guest Work: Writing section. I think that's about it, for now . . . Later on I added a couple pieces to the new CW section, and a couple links to that section.

4/21/02: New CW piece.

5/4/02: Oh yeah, I whupped that ELM's butt . . . You'll be seeing a GC's World version of that eventually . . . Added a pic to my Guest Work section . . . Have you ever seen that Seinfeld episode about the 'auto-dial hierarchy?' I think I've done that with my Links kindah-sortah. 0_0

5/5/02: Whoo-whee! And I thought mad-dogging a person could only occur offline! Boy was I wrong! Last night a former member of the 'RiftWar' campaign and one of his crony-females mad-dogged me last night on AIM simply because I blocked the former from my MSN after he cut me off (the rest is a long story, which you'll see as a GC's World eventually, heh-heh). I didn't know one person could have so many accounts! I must have Blocked almost ten screen-names! Can you believe that! Anyway, my judgement? *evil grin* Sean of 'RiftWar' never existed. And the female crony? 35% Warning . . . Oh, yes, added another poem by MAGI . . . Then I deleted the 'RiftWar' campaing links to the Aftermaths and the Timeline. They're taking up space.

5/17/02: Hown-deh-boy, Dinotopia lives again! Did anyeone watch the ABC three-episode appetizer? I did! It rocked! It rekindled my interest in the aweshome world! And guess what i found --- an RP message board!!!! Now, if I can obtain the permission of people already intereacting with my 'dolphin-back'ed' character to use in stories . . . If I do, don't be surprised to see a Dinotopia-related section in Fleet HQ!

5/18-19/02: Well, this Dinotopia thing seems to be coming off to a good start; too early to make anything of it, though, and I still have no clue if the current fellow participants'd want me to write them, so --- yeah. In any event, got another Guardian pic in that respective section, and one of my fictional takes on the sad events of September 11, 2001. Go check it out in GC's World, under Unreality . . . Then I deleted the 'Altered Worlds' spinoff information; there's no need for it to be up, still.

5/19/02: Deleted the 'New Generation' spinoff info. for 'RiftWar;' that's unecessary . . . And now the spinoffs link doesn't even exists anymore . . . And, in accordance to my decision as a result of Sean's stupid-ass stunt, "The Group Grows" no longer exists within the Initial 'RiftWar' story registry . . . Neither does "The Empathy Factor" . . . And neither does "Tainted Heroine." You know what I just realized? I only needed to delete three stories; just goes to show how important this brat was to 'RiftWar.' *snickers*

5/25/02: I didn't get around to saying anything about this before: No, 'RiftWar' didn't suddenly die; I'm cleaning up the 'Scenes and Whatnot' page. Now that the campaign's basically over, I think a revamping is in order . . . Finished!

5/31/02: My next project? Link everything! Because some people don't know how to use Back buttons or can't . . . Hey, I'm sure it happens.

6/7/02: Okay, I've officially been given a quasi-guilt trip by my CW teacher, good ol' Estrin. We caught up in each other's lives, and I found out that people still actually visit my site. Wow; I'm not just adding stuff that nobody's gonna see. That makes me feel better. So! I feel bad. So! I'm gonna try 'n' make it up to any o' you that actually still may check this place out. Hmm --- what can I add up here . . .? If there's time, I'll see just where I am Picturesque/CG's World-wise, add some that may need to be added. I can also probably stick up some more CW pieces in the near future. In other news . . . Added another Guardian and, at the least, one more pic in both the Guest section and my own section. The one in my section is fool-proof, I garantee it.

6/9/02: Added a pic to both the Guast section and in "Day of Terror," Unreality Style. That --- and 'RiftWar' has a sequel.

6/15/02: FLEET HQ's hit some stellar turbulence, as the site manage ain't goin' to GFW and/or s8 anytime in the near future unless some miracle occurs. But, in any event, that gives me more time to work on this place, so look for either more frequent updates, or updates with more shtuff.

6/16/02: Happy Fathers' Day . . .! Yes, there's at least one father I know of that's seen this site. In other news, I finished tweaking both Months May and June for Initial 'RiftWar!'

6/18/02: Hoish, I'm getting a lot of wool ripped off my eyes today . . . Looks for Picturesques based off such one day; man I am so behind in those, GC's World tuh boot . . . In any event, fixed the 'RiftWar' soundtrack page a bit.

6/20/02: It just hit me . . . It's all over. By this time (8:12 PM, Pacific Standard) tomorrow, I won't be a Senior in high school; I'll be a Freshman in college . . . My --- God . . . That's a sobering thought . . . New things to come.

6/25/02: Well, that's it. I'm not a Senior in high school anymore . . . What an indrekibly sobering though . . . *sadly nostalgic sigh* . . . Well, in any event, I finished "linking everything!" for 'RiftWar.' I've realized that it still needs some stories to be written; huh-boy . . . I also added a poem to the Guest area; it's an indrekibly moving peice about the events of September 11; yeah, that's right, I'm still goin' on about 'that day.' Live with it; it's either we remember or history repeats itself.

6/25/02: My home-DSL is bascially dead. I've said such before. Don't hold your breath. In any event, more links, and another Guardian pic.

7/1/02: Blugh, I hate computer viruses! But I love my brother who can reinstall the system --- and 'Net-accessibility --- in just hours! Thank you Bro.! Thank you so much! So, with that said . . . Because of this, the scanner has not yet been re-hooked up. Beauty of the Gargoyles fandom actually hung out at my house o'er the weekend and left three really nifty pics for me to scan --- and a pair of flip-flops, I think, but that's another story, heh-heh. Once the scanner is back up I'll be happy and have things to scan. Now that the computer is back up I'll have Diablo II to reinstall. Now that the computer is back up I have no clue when I'll have time to do all the written site-stuff I wanna do. Filatleven . . . Aurhm . . . Took down the 'RiftWar' sequel; man, that was short lived . . . Gave the Picturesques they're own special little link in the welcoming page, instead of just being an offshoot through GC's World . . . And I can't believe it, but 118 people visited my site yesterday! 'N' here I am, thinking people could care less! Boy was I wrong! Now I feel bad, not giving you all stuff to look at and/or read. I'm not making any garantees, but I am, thusly, DEFINITELY going to try and make a concerted effort to do some writing and typing. Wish me luck on this.

7/1-2/02: Um, I'm being silly and starting a dictionary of all my phrases. It'll be up shortly. otherwise, I just realized that since this computer doesn't have Word yet I can't really do much in the way of uploading 'n' tweaking stories. But they'll come in time, hopefully. Otherwise I still hope to get crackin' on writin'.

7/7/02: *big huge sigh* People (if anyone's out there listening/reading . . .) you have my sincerest apologies. Viruses really take a lot out of you, don't they? My bro. still hasn't reconnected the frazzing scanner, and I'll be gone this week so you won't see anything. I'm HOPING that I'll get SOMETHING done while I'm gone, but with the way I've been recently . . .? *sigh* Don't count on it. In any event, if there's still someone out there that looks at this place, you have my heartfelt thanks for still sticking around. Hey, at least I'm brave enough to come here and say that nothing's up yet, right? At least GC's still here, right . . .? *sigh* Maybe not . . .

7/12/02: Well, I'm back from Crestline, and I've decided. I finally have a plan. Forget real-time chats, forget my friggin' messaging systems, I'm goin' it cold turkey. No more. FLEET HQ has been left in the lurch too damn long. So, starting earlier today, I'm working on things that will eventually get posted here. Once FLEET HQ is completely up-to-date, I'll come back to my messaging systems and real-time chats --- maybe. In the meantime, I requested a blog. Say hello to the newest member of the FLEET HQ writing family, Rants of a FLEET HQ Site Manager; wow, what an original title . . .

7/13-14/02: Got a couple more Picturesques written, but I'm still very behind in typing up. B. Dalton called while I was away, so I gottah call 'em back and set up an interview. Huzzah.

7/15/02: I have a scanner again! Huzzah! Thank you Bro.! And thusly, pics, pics, pics up the yin-yang! Images, stuff that "Beauty" drew while she was here, and more! Aannd --- I even worked on a GC's World today! Bwah-hah-hah!

7/19/02: Well, I passed my drivers' exam yesterday, and I had a job interview today. This is why not much has been going on here, as I needed my little circle of Dinotppians to keep me from freaking out. This has been and will contonue to be a busy week; maybe I'll have some better news next week. *shrug* In any event, I added a few more links in that appropriate section.

7/19/02: I saw Faces of Ground Zero today . . . Wow. This spurned me to act on my urge to write a fanfic depicting September 11 in the Gargoyles world. We'll see how it turns out. In other news, added tow new pics in the Guest section.
