Sonrisa was one of Seattle's richest men, owner of shopping centers, trucking companies and medical supply companies. Sonrisa was cared more for himself and his wealth than others. Sonrisa replaced U.S. shipments of the Cortodiazapine with sugar pills, figuring he could increase profits by selling the actual drug on the Canadian black market while selling placebos to the Americans who needed it.
Though evidence exists implicating Sonrisa in 6 arson cases, 82 murders, and 3,000+ cases of extortion, he was never indicted. His connections gave immunity from prosecution. Sonrisa was killed by his bodyguard, Bruno Anselmo.
