Wolfsong
The sound of the wolf song whisteled through the trees
and the leaves rustled that were trampled at my feet
in the distance, it was still with the silence of the pack
the moon was rising, stars scattered in the sky of black
A howling races through the air to another's ear
and oh, such a mournful sound as if its laced with tears
I listen and I wait, I hear the cries throughout the night
learn the song of the wolves and thier neverending fight
Trapped in the valleys and there is no more running free
what once was theirs to conquer as it was meant to be
is ruled by man, setting bounderies that make such slaves
that ache for a freedom that the thieves can take away
They suffer and they wander, endangered with their plight
and try hard to keep thier youngblood, safely out of sight
risky, the pack travels together
like snowflakes in a storm each song dying behind a man
before their crying newborm
