Welcome to the Land of Mirrors, Calangor.
Here you will find dragons, of water, and elves who live underwater.
where humans aren't humans, they're Woltor's and they are desecrated for
their racial and ethnic backgrounds.
Calangor has many legends and these pages contain the people who are
questing to uncover those myths, and a detailed journal of their journeys.
An Introduction
The world of Calangor was developed for playing a game online.
The game is called a PBeM where you use e-mail to create a story and each
character is a player acting out their part.
The Calangor PBeM world is designed for Free-Form PBeM's. A Free-Form
PBeM is when their are no set rules for playing.
This helps when a PC wants to focus on their Character and not a GM/DM
telling them the rules.
The Setting
The menu on the left will tell you more about the setting of Calangor.
Below is a summary of the history of Calangor.
Historical Summary
The Age of Creation
The world of Calangor began long ago when the gods of magic descended
upon the land...
Rarna, the goddess of Water, Good, and Power descended upon the land
and with her power created the beings, and creatures, dragons, elves, orcs
and woltor's.
Faltor, the goddess of Earth, Neutrality, and Wisdom descended upon
the land and spread his wisdom over the people, teaching them morality
and logic.
Din, goddess of Fire, Evil, and Mortality descended upon the land giving
the people a gift, Mortality.
War broke out and the land went against each other, and the three gods
took, each, a moon and watched the world as it tore itself to pieces.
Din and Rarna created avatars, who became known a gods and they controlled
parts of the world and they fought, good against evil. Faltor saw reason
to create his avatar an the taught magic to the land and he created "The
Mirrors" the stones that hold the life force.
The Age of Knights
The avatars grew armies and battled and in the end the avatars were
banished, imprisoned within an amber tomb by Faltor. Faltor taught the
people chivalry and honesty. he taught them loyalty and honor.
The Age of Mortals
The beings of Calangor created their own armies and battled for their
own purposes and the woltor's were imprisoned and put into slavery to build
and work for the other races, to fight their wars. Near the end of this
age a woltor uprising began and the beginning of the Age of Men was formed.
The Age of Men
The woltor's are constantly battling for survival and some woltors
have their freedom, but are limited due to discretion.
Character Submission
Given the nature of the game, the character you choose to play is critical.
You must develop a solid, well rounded character who fits within the constraints
set by the gaming environment. It entails that you have read the
history and sociocultural background of the environment. In order to join
the game, initially submit a character concept to Gate_Keepers_2@yahoo.com
If the concept is approved, you must follow-up with a character description,
detailing the character's personality, appearance, and background.
If you wish to create a character of a race not detailed in the sett.
ing you must submit a racial description conforming to the structure
used for describing other races in the world. This should be submitted
prior to the submission of the detailed description for approval.
