Dark Sylvens
~People Born of Darkness~
Dark Sylven are said to be a blight upon the very land that they tread across. A people that enjoy nothing more than watching the downfall of others. More often than not, they look into the face of chaos and madness with a sincere smile. They are of a secretive nature and, at most times, very cynical. When one makes it a point to cross a Dark Sylven, that person must knowthat even when that Dark Sylven smiles in their face, that smile is one of sweet revenge. They do not go out of their way to befriend anyone and will more than likely keep to themselves or their own. From the time they are born, it is bred into them though there are those out there who do not always follow the common path.
Though they are sinister, they are also beautiful, but it is a dark beauty with their graceful movements. They are a proud race, often believing their superiority over others. They stand anywhere from 5' to 6'5". Most have slender builds, weighing anywhere from 110 to 170 pounds. The majority of them have ebony-colored skin though some have a dark greyish tone to their flesh. Their hair color normally ranges from white, silver, black and a dark blue, though every so often there are those who possess other colors. The same goes for the eyes,which are normally red, black or white. It is said that when one delves into the dark art of magic, their eyes turn white and pupiless. These are just the common colors but not the only colors.
Dark Sylven have a reputation for being a chaotic people. Though they can choose to be almost any profession, they will normally take on those of the rogue class, such as being thieves, mercenaries and assassins. They excel at these professions because they have the unique ability to hide and conceal themselves perfectly within shadows without being seen, unless someone is using infravision. A lot of Dark Sylven will also take on the arcane arts of magic and shadowwitchery.
Dark Sylven tend to follow the path of the darkheart but can be evenheart as well. They prefer the embrace of the night and shadows to sunlight. You will often see a Dark Sylven wearing robes or cloaks to cover their skin when out in the rays of the sun because it irritates their skin. Not only do they have the ability to see using infravision, they also possess the uncanny ability to see clearly in the dark, being able to see in all but the strongest of magical darkness.
