Pintar

The oldest country and civilization in all of Destiny. Pintar has been around longer than any other country, soaked in magic and steeped in tradition as well as mystery. The historians of Pintar have been able to trace its history back a few centuries though they are unable to give much information as the texts are written in a language forgotten by time. Some are trying to figure it out but so far to no avail.

This particular country is best known for mages but that is only because the country itself radiates magic. In the past, it has been a huge part of daily life for they used it as the non-magical folk would a hammer or a chisel, building great structures and even statues to the goddess of the arcane herself. All these were done without lifting any tool. A good part of the population does think they are more evolved and in a way better than any other of the non magical persons. We are not saying its true...just that some hold that opinion.

Pintar itself is mainly a desert, its cities build in the hot sand and the rays of the sun as aqueducts and waterways channel the needed water where it is needed regardless of the distance. This was put into effect by the Lord Mage I'oden (we have yet to find out his true age but are still looking) when it was first discovered over a century ago. Though the aqueducts are still powered by magic, not as much of the resource is used, nature helping it at well.

Today, Dune Center is not only the capital city but a wondrous site to see with its streets flooded with not only mages but people of all kinds. Libraries are in every city but the largest is in Dune Center, holding most of the history books for safe keeping and all protected by more forms of magic than you could name. The borders of this country even seem to ripple with magic, it filling the air and all that enters it. This makes it easy to see why many just leave Pintar alone. For anyone who doesn't mind the travel through the desert, it is highly recommended you visit Dune Center at least once in your life.
