With the death of Lord Jhiaxus, and the removal of the threat of the next-generation Cybertronians, the Autobot and Decepticon forces managed to parlay their temporary alliance into a permanent cease-fire.  Though a full truce and reunification was never achieved, hostilities were ended between the two forces, and relations between them gradually settled down.  With their differences put aside, the Transformers set to work, attempting to rebuild the damage done during their civil wars.

The first step, of course, is to help the Earthlings.  After suffering greatly at the hands of Bludgeon and his Decepticon troops, as well as the forces of the Swarm and the next-generation Cybertronians, few Earth cities are left standing.  While the Decepticons return to Cybertron, more interested in rebuilding their homeworld, the Autobots help the Humans.  In time, great sections of North America and Asia have been turned into glittering cities, huge self-contained outposts from which the Humans can produce all the equipment needed to rebuild the rest of the planet.  After many years had passed, Earth was restored, and in fact had surpassed its original beauty.  With Transformer technology now legal on the planet, the reconstruction efforts moved along swiftly.  At last, an Earth-wide government was established, it’s headquarters in San Francisco.  After being totally destroyed by Jhiaxus’ flagship Twilight,  it was rebuilt as a joint effort, with all nations contributing.  On January 1, 2028, the inaugural meeting of the Terran Hegemony came to order.  Present were Optimus Prime and Megatron representing the Transformers, Tereshima Keji representing the Asian alliance, Mathew Decker representing the American Bloc, and Guy Robert, for the European consortium.

    After insuring Humanity was on its way to achieving its destiny, the Transformers took their leave.  Returning to Cybertron, Optimus and Megatron quickly established joint leadership.  The Cybertronian Council was established in 2030.  Along with Optimus Prime and Megatron, the council included Grimlock and Soundwave.  The Councils purpose was to settle issues of policy that affected the Transformer race.  Individual factions were still under the control of their respective leaders, and the Cybertronian city-states were ruled by joint Autobot-Decepticon groups.

With peace assured at last, both Transformers and Humans began to expand out into the galaxy, establishing colonies and outposts amongst the stars.  The Hegemony quickly established a presence on the solid planets, with spacestations orbiting the gas giants.  The asteroid belt was mined, and warning beacons were placed just outside the orbit of Pluto.  By 2066, the Terran Hegemony controlled every planet in the system.  Confident in their strength, humans went out into the wide galaxy, intent on making contact with more alien species.  Little did they know how soon they would.  Or the disastrous consequences it would bring.
