he journey from Sorevv to Avrezin is not a particularly difficult one. There are plenty of travellers and trade caravans who are happy to hire on an extra sword to guard them against bandits. Bandits are unusually few, though, due to the white-robed "fanatics" who guard the road. Tonar also notices that there are far fewer mercenaries in evidence than is normal for the season. By listening in on gossip and talking to the occasional hired sword he learns that a mysterious personage called "the Red Hawk" has been buying up every reputable mercenary company in the area, and that this army has already headed east to Avrezin...some people say it was welcomed, and others say it's to drive the heathen influences out of Avrezin, and still more think that the Red Hawk has bribed the Ezinen into safe passage so they can take on Qenar. Tonar continues into Avrezin without much incident, since people seem to take him as another foreign mercenary like all the ones who've just passed through. And so it is that he ends up in Moruhan, former Ezinen province and Qenaren protectorate...the place where sentiment against Warlord Piromel is strongest...the place that Liessira's contacts, during his journey, have guided him to.
