Transformers: Cyberverse

After Robots in Disguise (2015) ended, the next line aimed at the "traditional" kids age range was Cyberverse (not to be confused with the smaller toys released in the earlier 2010-era lines), with the line premiering in stores in the summer of 2018. This cartoon was substantially lower-budget in its presentation, being mostly an online Youtube cartoon with short 10-ish minute episodes as opposed to the traditional 22-minute episode time. The CG used in the cartoon was also definitely cheaper than that used in recent TF cartoons, and many of the designs were only modified slightly from existing designs for the characters, with most of the wholly original Cyberverse designs interestingly not coming until near the end of the show. The show also continued to aim at a slightly younger audience than the previous (especially pre-RID2015) cartoons; the designs were generally friendlier than the traditional aesthetic, with larger eyes and fewer details. In fact, initially there were no Cyberverse toys released at all with "traditional" (now referred to as "collector-oriented") articulation, with gimmicks being given the priority for the main "Action Attackers" toys, in Scout (~$8 U.S), Warrior (~$12-15), Ultra (~$20), and Ultimate (~$30) sizes. The Scout class also tried something new-- as opposed to "full" transformations, instead the toys would go from robot about halfway to a vehicle/beast, aping some recent ways Transformers would only partially transform in a show. $10 1-Step Turbo Changers also returned.
Come spring of 2019, the line got slightly updated packaging with a "Power of the Spark" subtitle. Action Attackers continued, but new "Spark Armor" versions of many of the main characters were released, who came with extra vehicles that could separate into armor for them to wear in robot mode. The new Spark Armor size classes were "Battle Class" at ~$15 and "Elite Class" at ~$25. An ultra big "Ark Power Optimus Prime" toy was also released at ~$50.
In 2020, the line went under a more extensive packaging change, with the full name now changed to Bumblebee: Cyberverse Adventures, obviously taking advantage of the big yellow guy's popularity. The Spark Armor toys were retired, with deluxe toys now being added to the line, which gave the adult fans the much-requested "collector grade" articulation and more complex transformations. The initial 4 waves of deluxes came with Build-a-Figure parts for Maccadam, though after that the extra pieces were removed from deluxes. The Ultra-sized toys got a noticeable downgrade in size, but got flip-out "Energon Armor" gimmicks out of it. The Ultimate sized toys also got the same gimmick, and also abandoned much of the articulation and proportions of the earlier toys for spinning auto-transform gimmicks. Tiny Turbo Changers (~$4) also arrived on the scene at this time, moving over to this aesthetic from the movie line where they had started. Finally, "Battle Call" toys of many of the main characters were also introduced, with electronic gimmicks where the smaller ("Trooper" class, ~$25) toys could respond to commands from the larger ("Officer" class, ~$50) toys. They also came with either add-on or flip-out Energon Armor bits.
The line mostly went into a bit of a stall in early 2021, but made one last gasp in the latter half of that year with an added "Dinobot Adventures" subtitle, introducing more Dinobots with another two waves or so of toys. In addition to the usual size classes, "Roll & Combine" toys were added at ~$25, and were pretty much larger versions of the "Crash Combiners" from RID2015. Two large "Roll & Change" toys of 'Bee and Prime were also added that could auto-transform and came with some lights, sounds, and Energon Armor bits. Due to the delay of the Rise of the Beasts movie until the next year, one lone Optimus Prime "Smash Changer" toy (~$25) that was clearly meant for that line was released at the end of the year in Cyberverse packaging.
(NOTE: The discount store "Authentics" exclusives-- and other kid-aimed toys with no real line attached to them that were released in this 2018-2021 time frame-- are also included here for simplicity's sake, even if they don't have "Cyberverse" on the packaging.)
