Beast Machines Dinobots

Call of the Primitives:  In a desperate attempt to combat Megatron's technoorganic virus on Cybertron, the Oracle supercomputer reformats a group of surviving Transformers, rendering them immune to the plague and extremely powerful. Using the DNA schematics of former Maximal Dinobot, each warrior emerges as a hybrid of savage prehistoric power and advanced Cybertronian robotics...the result, the fearsome Dinobots are born!

That is the only backstory we have for the Beast Machines Dinobots. The first line of these toys were first released in March 2000, and they are all repaints of other Beast Wars toys (though some previously only had Japanese releases). The allegiance symbol is different from the Beast Machines Maximal symbol, and looks like a fierce triceratops head with a circle around it. The tech specs for the Dinobots insist that these are "technoorganic" transformers, but it is quite obvious that they are not, as their style is not the same as the Maximal Beast Machines toys. This toy line is not backed up by the Beast Machines series, and it is up to our imaginations to fill in the plot holes for these transformers.
