Angel
Angel (Normal)Angel (Costume)

Real Name: Warren Worthington III

Mutant Powers: Birdie wiiiings! ...And hollow bones so that he can fly easier, and really good eyesight.

Voice Actor: Mark Hildreth

Guest Appearances: "On Angel's Wings"; "Under Lock & Key"; "Ascension, Part 1"; and "Ascension, Part 2"

Back Story: Due to his rather obvious Mutant powers, Warren mostly kept to himself, staying in his rich family's apartment/home under a big trenchcoat to conceal his wings. He was eventually inspired to help people after a local news report of a fire, in which he flew to the scene and helped a disabled woman out of the burning building. After a rescue gone wrong, though (involving Magneto), and after a following save by Cyclops and Rogue, who met up with him, they convinced him to lay low for a while, and keep out of the public eye. He refused to join the X-Men, however- he wasn't very fond of the idea of living in the same building as a bunch of other "freaks", heh.
He was thrown back into the midst of things, though, when Mesmero hypnotized Gambit to steal one of his family's prized artifacts, which turns out to be half of one of the keys to the second door to Apocalypse. So he teamed up with the X-Men for a short while on that adventure, too. Although it would appear in the show that Warren is a young adult, probably in his 20s, he's referred to in the X-M:E comics as a senior in high school... hrmm...

Personality: Warren's a pretty big introvert, rarely talking unless he has to. He also is very ashamed of his powers, and keeps himself mostly in isolation because of it. He's also a pretty crummy fighter, but this could just be because his powers are pretty weak when compared to most other Mutants', heheh...

Final Reflections: I really liked the Evo version of Angel, mostly because the writers did something completely new with him and never "rectifying" it to match the classic continuity. Angel never did join up with the X-Men, even though he would fight alongside them occasionally, and most likely he never will. Kudos to the writers for not caving into fanboy demand on that or turning him into Archangel or anything.
