Summary: A different take on everything after Destiny
Spoilers: First season
When Tess came to town with Nesedo and they pretty much announced Destiny, I never had any idea of what would come from that. Because as Max and them went to fight for their planet, it turned out Nesedo had gotten to them 15 years to late. So their was no bad aliens to fight. But he still swore they stick with their destiny. Saying that when their famliy came for them, they'd expect it. No one, except Tess, excepted this. Michael and I, we got closer. Very, very close. Until we broke up.
Isabel and Alex tried to start a relationship, but they didn't manage, they split like Michael and I too. Max tried hard to get back together with Liz, but Liz was to razzled by everything at the time. So the group drifted apart. Drifted far apart. Alex and Liz became very close. I wasn't really with them anymore. I was still with Michael at the time, so they drifted away from me as well. Isabel was the next to go. She just drifted away with her superficial friends that she didn't like and pretended to be happy. We all knew she was pretending. Next came Michael, he drifted from me and then him and Tess drifted away from the group. They felt different, I guess anyway.
Kyle went as soon as he came, so he never truly counted. He stayed for a couple weeks, got feed up and left. So all that was left was Max and I. We became friends, best friends. It just happened. We were the only one's left and their wasn't anyone else left to turn to who was willing to take us. So we took each other in. It was funny, Max isn't as brave as he may appear to be on the outside. Trust me, the boy is so fragile, he out does Michael by miles. He's worst than Michael, Michael at least used anger to express his feelings, Max didn't even do that.
But when the news came to me. I decided to leave town. I wasn't staying. I wasn't going to do that to anyone. Not Michael, not my mother, not my friends. So I was up and leaving and that's exactly what I did. I packed up my car and drove down the highway. Only there was something in my way. On the side of the road sat Max's jeep, Max leaning against it. I couldn't just drive past him, so I pulled over. The weirdest thing was what came from that.
----
"Going somewhere without me Maria?" Maria turned her head from the driver's window and stared wide-eyed at Max. "What do you want Max?" "I don't want you going out into the world alone that's for sure." "Well, it's my decision. I'm leaving Max, I'm sorry." "Hey why are you apologizing?" Max asked as he reached over inside his jeep and pulled out two bags. He opened the back seat and threw them in. He then turned and climbed into the passenger's seat. "Max? What are you doing?" "Going with you. Your not going alone you know. Not in your condition." "My condition?"
Maria stared, shocked at Max. "Yea, come on Maria. Don't play dumb okay." "Yea okay." "So are we leaving or what?" "We're leaving!" Maria stepped on the gas and her and Max drove away from the jeep, away from the highway, away from Roswell, New Mexico and everything that exsisted within it. Including their loved ones.
----
"So Maria? Where exactly are we headed?" "I'm not sure, I'm thinking New York." "Seriously? You think we're ready for the big city?" "Um, okay then, let's go to San Diego." "San Diego?" "Yea, it's not to far incase we decide to ever go back and it's a nice place, I've been there once, on a convention with my mom. It's pretty." "Well, then let's go there. I'm sure it's wonderful." "Yea, it is." Maria smiled and drove a little faster.
"Maria?" "What Max?" "Why didn't you at least tell him?" "Because Max. I just didn't." "I think he at least deserved to know." "Well, Max, I don't. I'm not ready okay? For once in my life, I'm not sure what to do about this. I always had it planned that this wouldn't happen to me, that I wouldn't be another statistic. I don't want that, but this is just something that I'm going to have to do, and I'm doing it this way, it's proly not the best way, but it's as good as it gets for me." Max just nodded. "I wanna be there for you, the entire time, just incase, just incase something goes wrong." "I want you there."
Maria smield over at Max. "Do you know what...." "No. I want that to be a surprise. I don't want to know, I want a surprise." "Didn't you already get one?" Maria looked over at Max and slowly nodded. "Yea, I guess....." "I'm sorry Maria. It's just, I didn't want this to ever happen to you. You don't deserve the pain." "Hey, just bout every woman has to go through it, so I'll be fine." "I sure hope so." "Me too." Maria and Max drove awhile longer in silence.
----
"So we're here." "Hmmm?" Maria lifted her head from the passenger's seat, her and Max had traded seats a while back. "Wow, it's very different." "Yea, let's see if we can find a hotel for a couple nights, we'll have to look into some apartments." "Yea, I took my savings money. Got over $5000." "Well, I got a couple hundred." Maria smiled. "Where do you think we should stay?" "A nice place I suppose, not to fancy, but nice." "Yea. There! We can stay there." Maria nodded. Max drove over to the Motel 6. He climbed out and walked into the office. He came back with a set of keys.
"We got a double, come on." "Cool. Should we bring in our stuff?" "Yea, I'm not sure I quite trust this city just yet." Maria nodded an grabbed her bag carring them to room 200. "Let's go in shall we." Max said as he opened the door. "It's nice." Maria stated flatly. She dropped her bags by one of the beds and fell back onto it. "The beds are at least comfortable." "I'll be back, I'm gonna go use the bathroom." Max said as he left Maria in the room and walked into the bathroom. He came back and found Maria half dead on the bed. He helped her out of her shoes and tucked her under the covers. "I sure hope we did the right thing."
----
Isabel awoke and panicked. She sat straight up in bed and ran to her brother's room. Just as she expected, he wasn't there. She couldn't feel him anymore, she knew it, he was gone. She sat down on the edge of his bed and cried into her hands. Why the hell did he decide now to leave? Not now, they were just starting to get to know each other better. When her parent's woke up they found her like that. Crying on his bed. They asked her and then they knew he was gone. Mrs. Evans told the Sheriff immediatly. He told them, the DeLuca girl had disappeared too. Said they might of run off together. The Evans, Parker and DeLuca families were crushed.
----
Isabel sat in the Crashdown across from Tess and Michael and next to Liz and Alex. "She won't come back." Liz finally said, breaking the silence. "What?" Isabel asked wearily. "She always said if she was ever to run away, she'd never come back." "She talked about running away?" Michael asked. "When we were 10. She used to swear it all the time, she was gonna run away. She didn't like her life at the time." "She apparently doesn't like her life now." Tess said, earning glares from around the table.
"Does anyone know why they left?" Alex asked. "No." Was the answer from them all. "We really haven't been talking to them. Maybe that's why, maybe they just needed to get away for a little while, they'll probably be back as soon as they realize they miss us." Isabel said hopefully, knowing she was lying to herself and the others. Everyone just nodded at her though, no one was willing to ruin what little hope there was left.
----
Maria smiled as she and Max entered their new apartment. "So what do you think?" Max asked, walking up and pulling Maria closer to him by placing his arms over her shoulders. "I think it's great Max." "You can have the room. I'm gonna sleep out here." Maria walked into the room. "Max this room is big enough for two beds." "But we only have one right now." "I know that." "When we get another bed, then I'll sleep in there, until then, it's where your staying." "Okay." Maria turned to Max and wobbled over. "So, have you gone shopping yet?" "Actually no."
Maria smiled. "Good, cause I wanna come with you, let's go now. I want something sweet and spicy." Max shook his head, smiling and grabbed the Jetta keys and him and Maria walked out the door and headed to the Grocery Store. "Max?" "Hmmm?" "How are we gonna manage when the baby comes?" "I don't know Maria. I'm thinking that you go to day school, you know since they let you bring kids. I'll work then. Then you go home and you and the baby get some sleep and I'll go to night school." "Are you sure?" "Just until the baby's old enough to where we can put em in day care and you can work too."
Maria just nodded and climbed out of the now parked car. "So what do you have in mind?" "Thinking chocolate cake and tobasco sauce." "Oh, that does sound appealing Maria." "Then come on!" Maria playfully pulled Max into the store and they went shopping. Getting the ecentials and also recieving grave looks from the older people in the store.
----
"Maria push!" "I am!!!!!!" Maria grabbed onto Max's hand and pushed harder. "Maria dear, your hurting me." "Well, he was your best friend!!" Maria screamed, holding onto Max harder. "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!" Maria screamed. "One last push, come on Maria you can do it." Maria pushed with all her might. "It's a girl! You've got a girl Maria." Maria fell back onto the hospital bed and the nurse placed the baby into her arms. "Do you have a name?"
Maria smiled and looked at Max. "Trinity, Trinity Elizabeth-Isabela Guerin." Max smiled back. "Thank you Ms. DeLuca. Is that last name the name of the father's?" "Yes." "Does he know of the baby Ms. DeLuca?" Maria looked wide-eyed at Max. "Yes, he's in Arizona on his way here. He was visiting his sister and her husband. She's dying." Max said quickly covering for Maria. "Thank you. I'll be back in a while." Maria and Max nodded.
----
Michael sat straight up in bed. "Maria!" Tess ran into the room. "What's wrong Michael?" "Nothing, it---it was nothing." "Are you sure?" "Yea, it was just a vivid dream." "Okay Michael, good night." Tess closed the door and walked back out to the couch where she had been sleeping. Michael lay wide awake. It felt so real. She was in so much pain and then, then she was happy.
What was that? He thought. "Oh god." He whispered aloud. Why did she have to leave? Why couldn't she have just stayed in town? Michael asked himself. She's probably with Max, and you know it. His head countered back. Michael rolled over and let tears fall from his face. He found himself doing that more and more ever since Maria had left. God why did she leave?
----
"Trin come here." "Hmm Uncle Max?" "Where's your mother?" "She's in the room crying." "Again?" "Yea, the teacher from my school said seomthing mean to her." "Do you know what it was?" "No, you should talk to her though. I hate it when mommy cries." "So do I Trin. Go sit in the living room and watch cartoons will yah? I'm gonna go talk to you mother." "Okay Uncle Max. " Trinity padded into the living room and sat down to watch an old Superman episode.
Max sighed and walked into the room where Maria was to be found. "Maria?" "Just go away Max." "No, I want you to tell me what is wrong with you." "Nothing is wrong with me. It' this fucking place. I hate it here Max!" Maria turned to Max, her eyes puffy and red and tears streaks down her cheeks. "Oh Ria..." Max said before taking her into his arms. "What happened?" "Trinity's teacher asked me why she didn't have a father. She praticallly scolded me for it. Saying it was such a deadly sin." "What brought this up?" "The kids were asked to draw a picture of their family and Trinity drew a picture of me, her and you. When she was asked if you were her dad, she said no and said you were her uncle."
"I swear, that woman is evil." "She's right though Max. What am I doing? Trinity deserves a good life and a whole family." "Maria...." "No Max, she does. I'm not a good enough mother for her." "Your more than a good enough mother for her." "She'll grow up to hate her father and me. I always swore my child wouldn't have to live without a father Max." "Shhhh, Maria just shhh. Close your eyes, you need to rest, I think I have an idea." Maria relaxed and closed her eyes. Max placed her under the covers.
He walked to the closet and pulled a few suitcases out. He began packing, Maria's, Trinity's and his stuff into the suit cases. When Maria awoke her room had been all but stripped of it's belongings, although this was a surprise she barely cared. She was to tired and depressed to care. Max walked in dressed in a a nice outfit. "Maria get up, get something nice on please." Maria listened and climbed out of her bed, grabbing her clothes and heading to the bathroom. She came back to find her bed now stripped of it's belongings. "Max?"
Max walked into the room, Trinity trailing behind him in a pretty black dress. "What's going on?" "We're going for a trip." "Really? Why is Trinity dressed like that?" "She refused to wear the pink dress. Come on Maria, the stuff's already in the car and what's not is in a storage." "When did you do this?" "Maria, you've been asleep for over 12 hours. Let's get going." Max wrapped Maria under his arm and with his other one grabbed Trinity and walked out of the apartment, locking it behind him. He placed Maria in the passengers seat and Trinity hoped into the back seat with some of their stuff.
"Where are we going Max?" "You'll see when we get there, just lay down and rest, your gonna need it." Maria only nodded and laid her head back onto the seat and closed her eyes drifting off into sleep. Max had been driving 16 hours straight, stopping at rest stops for food and restroom breaks. Trinity was beginning to get cranky and he was getting tired, good thing they were almost there. "Max?" "What Maria?" "Why does this road look so familiar?" "I don't know Maria, maybe you've been on it before. Maria looked out the window at the sign that they whizzed by. 'Roswell, New Mexico: 5 miles.'
"Max stop this car!" Max swirved to the side of the road causing Trinity to wake up and start crying. "Dammit Max! Why are we here? Why are we going back?!" "Because we are, now sit back in your seat." "Max, you cannot tell me what to do." "Maria your in no condition to be telling me what I can and cannot do. You've been depressed for weeks and you refuse to see a doctor. You said Trinity needed a father, we're going to take her to meet hers." "Mommy!" Trinity finally screamed. Maria slowly turned to the back seat. "What's wrong baby?" Maria asked reaching her arms out to Trinity and pulling her into the front seat with her.
Max just turned back on the road and began driving again. "I'm scared mommy." "Why are you scared?" "I don't know." "You don't know?" "Well, yes I do but," "Why Trin?" Max asked from the driver's seat. "Because you and mommy were fighting." "Everything's better now baby, we're gonna go visit some old friends of mine and Uncle Max's, right Max?" Max turned to Maria and nodded at her small, sad smile. "Yes Trin, your gonna meet a lot of new people." Trinity just nodded and laid her head back onto her mother's chest and hiccuped quietly.
----
Bright lights flashed and Max pulled over to the side of the road. The police officer walked out of the jeep and up to the car. "Hello sir, in a hurry?" Max turned his head to the man and his mouth almost fell out. "And I see that child isn't buckled in either." This caused Maria to turn her head to the driver's window and her eyes almost popped out. "Well? Do you have an explanation?" "We were just in a hurry to visit family, sir." Maria said. The man looked at her stared for a moment. "Do I know you?" He asked.
"I'm not sure if you remember me." Maria said. "Maria?" The man said. "Hello Kyle." Kyle's eyes almost poped out of his eyes. "Nice to see you again." Maria said finishing her sentence. "What brings you back to Roswell Maria?" "Max." "Max?" "Yes. He's bringing me back to Roswell." Kyle stopped and looked down at the man in the driver's seat. "Max?" "Hey Kyle." "Oh my Lord. What in the world would bring you'll back to Roswell?" "I'd rather not say Kyle." Maria whispered. "Yea, yea." "Please don't tell anyone we're back." "I---I won't, beside's I won't be seeing them for a while. I'm on duty." "Are you town Sheriff now?" "Yep, took my father's job. He's retired and married."
Maria looked at Kyle. "He's married?" "Yea, to uh your mom." "Really?" Max asked. "Yea, they got married about a year after you guys disappeared." "Oh." Maria said turning her head back to the passenger window. "We have to be going Kyle. I'm sure we'll see you in town." "Yea, bye guys." Max smiled and drove away. Kyle stood and stared after the car. "Wait a sec, did Maria just have a little girl in her lap?" Kyle thought for a second, shook his head and climbed back into his car and drove back behind the sign.
----
Max drove the car up to a local hotel. "We'll stay here for the rest of the night. It's pretty late." "Yea okay Max." Maria said carring Trinity into the hotel room and lying her in one of the beds, Maria following into the same bed and closing her eyes. Max locked the door and did the same for the other bed. Closing his eyes and getting the sleep he so needed. When he woke up he heard the sound of crashing and giggling.
He turned his head to see Trinity sitting on the end of her bed watching an old Warner Brother's cartoon. "Trin, where's you mother?" "She went to get us something to eat." "What?!" Trinity just looked at Max like he was crazy. The door then opened and Maria walked in with some doughnuts, milk and coffee. "Where we you Maria?" "I went to the little shop next door. Trinity and I were hungry. Here got you a coffee." Maria handed Max a cup and sat on the bed.
"Do you want a doughnut?" "No, thanks for the coffee." "Yea, your welcome." "So when do we plan to go into town?" "I want to visit my mother first Max. So you can drop me off there and head to you parents." "No, I wanna go with you. And I want you to come with me." Maria only smiled and nodded. "So when should we go?" "Let Trin finish eating, then we can head out." Max said before taking a sip of his coffee. "Okay. Yea." Maria agreed taking a bite of a doughnut and staring at her daughter.
----
Max pulled up in front of Maria's old house. "Everything looks the same." "Yea. I guess it does." Maria climbed out of the car and closed the door, Max waiting and taking Trinity behind Maria. Maria knocked on the door and her mother answered it. "Oh my God! Maria?" Maria nodded slowly, expecting a her mother to scream and yell at her. Instead her mother embraced her into her arms. "Oh my baby." "Hi mom." "Oh my, I never expected to see you ever again."
"Well, here I am." "Whose that dear?" Amy said pointing to Trinity. "Trinity baby come here." Trinity causiously walked over to her mother and the strange woman. "I'd like you to meet my daughter mom." Amy knelt down on one knee and also embraced Trinity into her arms. "Is he the father?" Amy asked pointing to Max. "Max? No. Actually um..." "Michael isn't it? He's her father. That's why you left right?" "I'm sorry mom." "Oh baby. Don't be sorry, I'm just so happy your back."
Amy invited Maria, Trinity and Max into the house. They sat for a couple hours and talked. "Mommy, I'm hungry." Trinity whispered into her mother's ear. "Mom, it was so nice to see you again. But Max and I still have a few more stops to make. I'll be back a little later to talk okay?" "Yes, baby. Promise me?" "I promise mom." Amy hugged Maria once more and then escorted her, Trinity and Max out the house. "I'll see you later right?" "Yea, mom. Bye." "Bye."
Maria and Max climbed into the car, Maria pulling Trinity in behind her. "Why are we leaving?" "Trin says she's hungry. I want to go by....." "Yea okay. I know." Maria smiled over at Max and Max drove down the street as if he'd always lived in Roswell. As if he'd never ran away from home when he was 17.
----
"Liz?" "Oh hey Isabel. What can I get you?" "I don't know, I just had a weird feeling that had to be here today, that something big was going to happen." "Really?" "Yea." "Where's Alex?" "Oh, he's still at work. I kinda forgot to tell him I was leaving." "That you did." Alex said as he enveloped Isabel into his arms. "What are you doing here?" "I wanted to know what was so important that my wife had to up and leave me like that." "Oh Alex." "So what can I get you two?" Liz asked a smile on her face. She was so happy when her friends had gotten back together and when they were married she was estatic.
"How about two cherry cokes for starter." "Okay, it'll be right up." Liz said taking the order sheet to the back. She'd bought the place, we'll inherited it from her parents. Her mother and father had decided to go and live in Florida for retirement and signed the resturant over to her. As soon as she got it, she rid it of the stupid waitress outfits, well at least she rid herself of the stupid alien outfits. The other waitresses still wore them. The bell on the door rang and she raised her head only to catch herself from fainting.
Isabel's head whipped around to the door, Alex's head following. "Oh my God." Isabel whispered aloud. Maria and Max walked in, Trintiy on Max's shoulders. Trinity was giggling and smiling from head to toe. "Okay we're here, you can put me down." Max did just that, set Trinity into the booth. Isabel stood up immediatly and walked towards Max and Maria. Max turned around to face her and was embraced in a bear like hug. "Oh God, Max..." Isabel said, breaking off in tears. "I can't believe it's really you." Max embraced his sister back and Alex walked up behind Isabel looking at Maria as if she were crazy.
Liz walked from behind the counter and over to the group. Isabel released Max and stepped back. "Wow." Liz spoke quietly. Max walked up to Liz grabbing her head and giving her an earth shattering kiss. Liz gave it back one hundred percent. Then she jumped back from him. She had noticed Maria and the little girl as well. "Don't you have a child!" Max stared at Liz wide-eyed registering everything finally. "Oh no, no he doesn't have a child." Maria said quickly, saving Max from anymore accusation.
"Than who is that?" "That's my daughter." Maria said flatly. Liz looked at Maria confused. "Max's neice." "Oh my..." Liz was cut off again when Max kissed her once more. Maria smiled and sat down next to Trintiy. "So Maria...." Isabel said trailing off. "What?" "Why did you go and get pregnant?" Maria looked hurt almost. "I didn't go and get pregnant thank you very much." Max released Liz and hugged her to him. He then noticed the flare in Maria's eyes and the words being spoken. "Well, apparently you did. Because you didn't have a child before you left." Isabel said harshly.
Maria stood taking Trinity's hand. "As far as you know!" Maria stomped out of the resturant leaving Isabel, Alex, Liz and Max in her wake. "Dammit." Max cursed under her breathe. "Max, what was that all about?" "Well Iz, there's always a reason to run away." Max said flatly. "Oh no." Isabel brought her hands to her mouth but not before a gasp could escape her. "I---I have to go after her. She might do something stupid. She hasn't been doing to well lately, that's why we're here. I have to go after her." Max stammered as he ran out of the resturant after Maria.
"Mommy who was that woman?" Trinity asked from her mother's side. "That's Uncle Max's sister." "Why was she being so mean?" "I don't know baby." "Where are we going mommy?" "I don't know baby, we just we have to get as far away from here as we can." Maria practically ran with Trinity at her side until she ran into somebody. "Oh my, I'm so sorry. Really I am." Trinity had fallen also and was crying because she'd scratched her hands. Maria looked up, after lifting Trinity off the ground, at theman who stood before her.
"Maria?" Maria fainted on the spot. "Mommy!" Trintiy screeched, but thankfully the man had caught her. "Put my mother down!" Trinity screeched, hitting the man in his side. "Trin!" Trinity stopped and turned around to face Max. "It's okay hun, this man knows your mother." Max held his hand out to Trinity. "Max?" "Michael." Michael looked almost hurt. "Do you know where we could take her?" "Yea, come on we'll take her to my apartment." Michael said carrying Maria to his apartment. Max carrying Trinity.
"So why are you two here?" Michael asked as he laid Maria onto his couch. "I had to bring Maria back. She hasn't um been doing to well." "Is she sick?" "More like depressed." Max said. He placed Trinity onto the ground and she was at her mother's side in an instant. "Why won't she wake up Uncle Max?" Michael noticed how she called him 'Uncle' Max. "She fainted Trin, give a little while." Trinity just nodded and stared back at her mother.
----
Maria's eyes slowly opened her eyes and stared back into a set of deep brown eyes. "Hey baby." Maria whispered. "Mommy!" Trinity squealed wrapping her arms around her mother. All of a sudden everything came rushing back and Maria looked around the room and her eyes stopped on the figure who stood behind Trinity. "Your awake." He said lowly. Maria sat up slowly and picked Trinity up into her arms.
"Hello Michael." "Long time no see eh?" "Yea, um did you bring me and my daughter here alone?" "No, Max brought you daughter. He ran out to go back and find Liz and them." "Oh." "So Maria, I hear you haven't been doing well?" "Who said that?" "Max did." "Did he?" "Yes Maria." "Why the nerve...." "So is it true Maria?" Maria looked down. "Um, I suppose." "Why haven't you been doing well? Did her father leave you?" Michael asked refering to Trinity. "No, I left her father." "Oh, was he abusive or something?" "No. I just didn't want to bring him pain."
Michael stared at Maria, obviously lost. "See um Michael...Trinity, she's um, she's yours." Michael looked as if his eyes were going to pop out of his head. "What?" "She's yours. I left when I found out, I didn't want you to have to live with....." "It's been 8 years Maria!" Michael screamed. Standing up and starting to pace. "Do you realize it's been that long?!" "What? You don't think she's yours?" "No..." Maria looked at Michael. "I'm pretty damn sure she's mine, that's not the point. I have an 8 year old daughter and you never told me!" "I didn't want you to feel closed in." "Closed in!? I have a daughter! I'm a father! Do you realize what that means!? God, your so fucking stupid Maria!"
Trinity sat there looking at her mother and wincing everytime Michael screamed. Finally she just burst into tears. Michael caught note of this and walked up behind Maria. "Come here." He whispered into her ear. Trinity turned and looked at the man. "Come here." He whispered again. Trinity reluctantly let go of her mother and went into Michael's arms. "Now why are you crying?" Michael asked as he took her into his arms and seated himself on the floor.
"Because, I don't like yelling." "And I was yelling wasn't I?" Trinity nodded. "Well I'm sorry. It's just that I learned something really big today." "Yea? What did you learn? Because when I learn big things I usually smile, not yell." Michael sighed and stared at the little girl before him. She was beautiful. She had long golden curls and deep brown eyes. She was small, but gave off a tough exterior, minus all the crying. She wore a pretty black dress, something he would never expect to see on a little girl, but that gave off the sense that she was different than regular little girls.
"Well I learned a very big thing, I'm not sure I should tell you though." "Please. I won't tell no one else." Michael looked up and a teary eyes Maria. Maria could do nothing except nod. "Well okay, it's like this Trinity. See do you know who your daddy is?" Trinity nodded. "You do?" "Yea. Apparently though, he deson't know about me." "Who told you that?" "Everyone." "Whose everyone?" "Well, there was my teacher Mrs. Falion and then there was Uncle Max when he was talking to mommy, Uncle Max's sister when she was yelling at mommy and then there was mommy. I don't think any of them knew I know though."
"Do you know who your father is though?" "Well if I'm right, and I'm not sure okay?" "Okay." "Then since you were yelling at my mommy and stuff and...okay you know I think it's you. Am I right?" Michael let a tear escape his eyes. Trinity reached up and wiped it away. "Don't cry now. I'm sorry if I'm wrong." "No Trinity, your right. Your so very right." Trinity smiled and wrapped her arms around Michael's kneck. Michael hugged her back and then pulled Maria off the couch and into the hug as well.
----
"I can't believe it!" Trinity said as she stomped down the steps. "Adam I'm gonna beat your ass!" "Trinity Elizabeth-Isabela Guerin watch your mouth!" "Adam was in my stuff again mom. He thrashed my room." "I'm sorry dear, but...." "Your sorry!? I'm gonna kill that bite size child!" Trinity took off in a dead run after 7 year old Adam. "Aghhhhh! Momma! Dad! Aghhhh!" "Come here you little..." Trinity was snatched up by Michael. "I don't think so." "Dad!" "Adam come here." Little Adam padded into the room. "I want you to apaologize to your sister for going into her stuff."
"I'm sorry Trin." "Ugh!" Trinity tore herself from her father's arms. She bent down to his size and grabbed his cheeks. "If only you weren't so darn cute!" She stood up and walked into the living room. "Everything settled?" Maria asked Trinity. Trinity nodded and sat on the couch next to her mother. "You know if i was pregnant again, I would have yelled at your brother." "I know mom, but your having twins." "Don't remind me. It'll be double the pain." Trinity laughed. "God you know, you've grown up so much." "Have mom?" "Trin baby your almost 15." "Eh mom don't go and start cryin. I don't think I could take it." "Oh baby I can't help it. It's these freaking hormones."
"Oh mom." Trinity reached out and wrapped her arms around her mother's shoulders. "Your such a good girl Trin." Trinity smiled over at her father who took her place. "Thanks dad, I'll see you later, I have work." "Ok sweety." Trinity kissed her mom and her dad's cheek and walked out. As she walked to work she thought to herself.
When this all started, moving back to Roswell, I never expected my life to be like this. I'm not an only child, I have two parents and they're both mine, I'm happy and so's my mother. My Uncle Max is happy too. He's married, to his high school sweetheart too. My life is good as far as I'm concerned. Sure my mother's got raging hormones right now and my little brother's a dick, but hey, every family has their quarells and tribulations. So I'm happy. I got a pretty good life considering it's beginning. I'll keep you updated on the twins birth and my new life. Cause I've still to meet my high school sweetheart whom I'm bound to marry. Just kiddin, I'm not sure if I'll be as lucky in love as I am in life. I'll let you know if I am though.
