Wendy Padbury played the companion Zoe Herriot
who joined Jamie and the Doctor in the TARDIS
at the end of the Wheel In Space .
She remained part of the TARDIS crew until the
end of The War Games which saw the departure of all
of the regular cast ,
preparing for the advent of colour television
and the arrival of Jon Pertwee
as Doctor Number Three .
