Kuan
An Asian Goddess,
she was low on the totem
pole in the Immortal caste,
yet, the people loved her.
She was considered to be the
goddess of sacrafice, because
for the mortals on earth, she gave
up the one thing that she cherished
most in her life... her only child.
The peoples were being threatened by
a killer Monsoon, and pleaded with Kuan
to spare them. Kuan, not being able to stop
the monsoons herself, asked the gods above
her to spare her people. The gods, being
the sadistic things they are, wanted
something in exchange for saving
the people, so she threw her
only child into the frothing
waves as a sacrafice.
The storms ended.
The people were
spared!
