Common Trekkie Complaints
    Here I'll cover some of the more common arguments that the ST fans attempt to use as a way to discredit my site and the figures contained within it. My responses will be below.

Your refire rates are wrong and have no official support.
    - This is correct in one small way, I don't have official support for my rates of fire. But I do have Canon support, which is much better. I ask anyone studying this matter to get out her copy of Star Wars: A New Hope and view the trench run. Watch the firing rate of the turrets shown, seems to fit with my numbers doesn't it. No further explanation is required

You made the turbolasers too powerful.
    -This one is rarely heard, but some have made this claim. Well they obviously haven't read the site in it's entirety, so screw 'em. It's all spelled out clearly in the site itself and on the links I provided with the pages. Some people need to get "Hooked on Phonics" for Christmas.

You don't understand how the ray shields block turbolasers while torpedo's are blocked by particle shields.
    -Another person who needs "Hooked on Phonics" for Christmas, it's all spelled out on my site.
    But I'll repeat myself since they seem to be ignoring it. The common claim by WEG and sources based on WEG that turbolasers are blocked by ray shields is a mistake, similar to the 8 km long Executor. These same sources also make the claim that Turbolasers are the same as LASERs, if this was true then Turbolasers would be ray weapons and so would be blocked by ray shields. But the movies, which are canon and so over ride the official sources, show that the turbolasers are some type of plasma weapon. The shield claim is based on good logic, but that logic uses an incorrect assumption so the the conclusion is wrong.
