The Trigon

Near an outcrop of stones on the endge of the Glades, an enormous, three-sided black block of granite sits, placed there by Eruv, Angel of the Line.
On one side, are engraved all the names of all the angels, relievers, and other entities serving Heaven, who have met sould death in the War.
On another side are engraved all the names of all the Fallen and Hellborn who have perished in a like manner.
On the third side, are engraved the names of all humans who have died, regardless of destination, as a direct result of celestial or diabolical interference.

On the flat top of this structure, a three-sided statue of grey granite rests.
One side is a sculpture of an Angel, head bowed, wings wrapping around its own body.
The second is a Demon in a similar posture.
The last is of a human couple: a weeping woman, cradling a dying man in her arms.

At the base of each side of the statue, its title is engraved for all to see: "Our Failure."

Eruv's motives in constructing and maintaining the Trigon remain unclear. Eruv himself never speaks of his reasons, he simply built it, and adds new names when it is appropriate. Complicating the issue is the fact that the statements "The Trigon is a Memorial," "The Trigon is Penance," and "The Trigon is a Warning" all resonate as True.

Several rumors exist about the Trigon, the most common being that it is hollow, that somethig in the construction (or a Song) makes it impossible to know what is within, and that Eruv frequently spends time alone inside it.
More unsettling are the rumors about what may be inside. These include:

* One inside wall holds the names of all the Ethereals killed in the Purity Crusade, and is labeled "Our Sin."

* Eruv practices self-mortification within the inner chamber when the conflict between his Malakite form and his Cherubic inner nature becomes unbearable.

* The inner chamber is a safehouse for Outcasts and/or Renegades and/or possibly even Grigori.

* The Line keeps a truly monstrous, unstoppable and horrible weapon of some sort, sealed within/under the Trigon, and will unleash it at the time of the Last Battle, if it appears that Heaven will lose.
