...=/|\= vIghro''a' (Gryphon) Class War Cruiser =/|\=

    Gryphon Class

Length: 576 meters
Width: 723 meters
Height: 170 meters, not counting nacelles
Decks: 40
Mass: 4.1 million metric tons
Crew: 900, plus room for 300 troops and equipment

The Gryphon class is almost a flying-wing type design, somewhat different from traditional Klingon designs; only the short, I do mean short, neck to the bridge clearly identifies it as Klingon. The nacelles are reminiscent of claws.

Armament
  8 x mark 10 pulse disrupter cannons
  4 x Mark 8 disrupter cannons
  6 x Mark 2 graviton-disruptor cannons
  4 Front burst-fire torpedo tubes, 1 port, 1 starboard, 2 aft
Torpedo Loadout:
  250 Quantum torpedos
  100 photons
  100 Cluster
  50 Plasma

Defense Systems: Note, shield system is sometimes prone to breaking due to width of ship compared to length; easily compensated for, can get a novice in deep trouble.

  Refit Cycle Minor: 2 year
  Standard: 10 years
  Major: 20 years

Propulsion This ship shows off a experimental 6-nacelle design Klingon scientists have been toying with for about the last ten years. It is unstable in small designs, the competing warp fields eventually tear the ship apart; it is only in ships as large as this that they work; and work they do. The speed is comparable to a L-42 Great Bird or a Negh`Var vessel; Sadly, it is highly doubtful any ship of this class will make it past warp 9.99. The energy needed is just too high.
